Chase Weldon was born 7/15 at 945pm via emergency Csection coming in at 7lb 1oz 19in long. He is absolutely perfect.
I got induced at 4am on the 15th beginning at 2cm dilated and 60% effaced, started pitocin at 530am, got my waters broken at 830am, by 2pm I was only at a 4-5. I was completely maxed out on pitocin and contractions came every 1 to 3 minutes. i got the epidural shortly after that and did not progress farther than a 5/6 by 7pm. Baby was laying on his side and not able to rotate which caused me to stop dilating. We tried everything we could before finally deciding on the Csection. I am doing well and baby came out so perfect and beautiful. Even tho nothing went as planned it really wasn't anything too miserable or painful. The way I described everything prior to the epidural was "that's a weird feeling". The worst part for me was the first iv and that didn't even hurt. For the ladies who are feeling afraid, don't worry too much everything will be okay. I would do it all over again!
I have not attempted to latch him on yet because after the surgery they gave me more meds and I was completely zonked out, couldn't keep my eyes open. Not to mention I labored for 15 hours on only 1 hour of sleep before my Csection. I'm praying breastfeeding goes well in the morning.
Congrats to everyone else who recently had their bundles of joy:)
