worried.. anyone else???

I had my 39 week growth scan today my son has been measuring good all my pregnancy and today they tell me he's measuring at 36 weeks

    Hmm. What did your doctor say? He might just be a little guy.

    What's the reason for the c-section? If it's a medical reason could it account for the smaller size?

    If your doctor didn't seem concerned, I wouldn't be either. At my 37 week growth scan, my son was measuring in the 28th percentile. Still perfectly healthy, just a smaller baby is all!

    I've been on the penny up until last week - I've been measuring at 37 for 3 weeks in a row now. Dr says it's because he's dropping lower :)

    I wouldn't worry too much, at this stage it's not quite accurate as far as "weeks" go since every baby is different. This is also why I hate the whole percentile crap. Comparing one child to another is ludicrous given parents are all different sizes so are kids!

    You'll be fine. I was told that my doctors were expecting me to have two 7+ pound babies a few weeks ago and then my specialist told me yesterday that my babies will probably be about 5.5 pounds each. Still good I'm just glad I've made it this far and will probably make it to 38 weeks Andy c section without any complications! :). So don't worry he'll be find and the weights and weeks really don't matter at this point anyway. They are very rarely accurate. Who knows how big our babies will be :)
