Finishing Undergrad

Hey ladies,

I've seen some people talking about being in grad/masters programs while pregnant, but nobody finishing up there undergrad. I go to a college that is 1.5 hours from my SO and will be graduating a semester early in December just in time for baby, then I start my full time job in June. Fortunately, I only have 10 hours to go. Is there anyone else out there that will just be finishing their undergrad, still plan to stay in school even after the baby comes, or did so with previous children?

Thanks!

Re: Finishing Undergrad

  • I finished my undergrad a few months before DS1 was born, while I was working full time night shift. It stinks, but I think it's a LOT easier than doing it after baby comes!

  • @MississippiCatfish I totally agree, which is why I am graduating early.  I was supposed to graduate with a double major but decided after we found out that it would be better off to go on ahead and graduate and then return if I ever had the chance.

I will have 2 more semesters to finish after baby is born, I can do it!! The university is in the town i live in so no commute :)
  • My plan was to finish school before my twins were born. I was in my last semester before I was put on strict bedrest. Unfortunately, there were no online courses that transferred so I had to drop and haven't got to go back. I'm super jealous of you!

  • I was finishing my 2nd year in college whenever I had my daughter, it was so hard, but I got through it. It ended up going so well I went ahead and agreed to a surrogacy for my aunt in my final year. I graduated in May and here I am again, lol. It's hard, but you can do anything you set your mind to!

  • My mom had me in the final year of her undergrad and went on to complete her masters and PhD. You can do it! And remember, the universities will *always* be there.

  • @Twindling part of me is so scared about that! My mom told me to just "be ready for anything to happen". Fortunately, I'll be around 7 months when I finish, so hoping baby stays good and comfortable in there!

@DizzyMom1 it's crazy how timing works! My original plan was to graduate in May, if only this had been bumped up a few months. But baby comes when he pleases!
