Considering its the only commercial people see when watching cable, I'm certain they know their risks. I also imagine that if they still take it they aren't believers in what it has to say. Throwing more articles down the throats of people who simply have their own view isn't going to make them change their mind. I assume they simply won't read it. You don't take the risk, that's great, but not everyone is you.
Yes, people have no idea about the risks of Zofran when here have only been 84 threads starting like, "I was prescribed Zofran but am afraid of risks, what should I do...?"
Jeez can the zofran subject be dropped already? There are seriously at least a dozen threads about zofran on this BMB. Everyone has seen the commercial, which is an advertisement paid for by a law firm that stands to make a ton of money off birth defects caused by zofran. As they are with dozens of medications, look it up- they are in alphabetical order. Anyone who has been prescribed zofran during this pregnancy would have been advised by their physician, and weighed risk vs. benefit. Personally, I've got 24h subcutaneous zofran infusing as I'm taking my chances- it's either take the risk or my babies and maybe myself be dead or hospitalized with severe dehydration and malnutrition.
Yes the only reason there is a lawsuit is not because they have proven Zofran causes birth defects but because they can't prove it doesn't. Because crazily the majority of pregnant women don't want their fetus tested.
Unfortunately these kinds of posts scare women who need to take Zofran to function, keep hydrated, etc.

Most medication you take during pregnancy has some risk associated with it. Doctors perscribe it because the benefits outweigh the risks. If you are so sick you are dehydrated then yes you should try zofran because you can do more damage to you and your baby by being dehydrated.

Omg this is the worst article !!! Greedy money hungry lawyers! How dare they use that picture of the baby. I'm sorry but this is just wrong. Why would someone post this ?
I'm guessing she posted a picture of some kind of baby ? I'm scared to know. Op you'll need a foil hat to avoid the aliens. Also chemtrails are out today everywhere!! Gasp! You seem like that type.
Look, there's risks involved with almost every medication. I think that's understood. If someone is going to take a medication, it is up to them to look into those risks and speak with their doctor about it (who has to prescribe it anyways. You should research ANYTHING you are taking). Normally a person is prescribed Zofran when their morning sickness has gotten to the point that they are LOSING weight which is ALSO bad for the baby, as you can imagine. I understand wanting to inform people, but something like this is just going to scare people that may not otherwise do their own research other than clicking on the link you provide (which isn't even a medical research article, just an attorney's website). Blegh. Come on....
I took zofran for three of my pregnancies and anti depressants. My boys are all perfectly fine. It's a choice for sure but when you're suffering sometimes it's the only thing that works. So be it.
