Blood in urine sample?

Has anyone else had blood in their urine sample? The last two samples i had given had blood in the urine. Initially my dr put me on antibiotics, thinking it could be the start of a UTI, however there is blood this time also. A few years back i had to have a medical for a job i applied for, and they presumed i was getting my period (which I wasnt, not that i told them!) because i had blood in my urine then also.

    Is the blood visible? When I get bad UTIs the blood is visible in my urine and/or on toilet paper and it is EXTREMELY painful. However mild UTIs can also cause invisible blood in the urine as the infection attacks the bladder and urinary tract, causing inflammation and bleeding. Traces of blood in urine can be an indicator of a kidney problem. I would get checked out by a doctor if I were you. It could be that you've got a mild UTI that's difficult to shift due to pregnancy. However antibiotics should really have gotten rid of it. If you experience any back pain around the kidneys or start feeling sick you should definitely get checked ASAP, as it could be a kidney infection.
