Shropshire swimming pools?

my daughter is 4 months old. She's had her 2nd lot of immunisations and I specifically asked the nurse if I could take her swimming now. She told me that it was highly doubtful that my daughter would catch anything if I were to take her swimming now! My daughter loves the bath, so I can't wait to take her swimming! Anybody from Telford/Shropshire know where the warmest swimming pool is? Don't mind travelling!

    Nowhere near there, but that's great! My in laws have a pool, so we have already taken our daughter "swimming." If you haven't bought a swimsuit already, I would highly recommend the shirt kind to avoid sunburn (please excuse the unsolicited advice!). My daughter seemed confused by the water, but we introduced it in very short increments to avoid her getting too chilly. Have fun!

    @AGM0616 My inlaws also have a pool, but I find it too cold to take my daughter in there! We're off on holiday to the coast the end of this month so if the weather is nice, I shal definitely be taking her to the beach! Swimming costume already brought, 2 sizes to big as that's the smallest size I can find in the shops but it fits her nicely! May I ask how you introduced it gradually? Thanks :)

    I had put her feet in a couple times, just so she got the feel of colder water, and did pretty much just that for the first few times we were at the pool. Our weather here in Pennsylvania was about mid-80s and the pool was probably 75-ish (so I guess converted to Celsius, that's around 29° and 24°). After awhile, we started dipping her in in her swimsuit. I think the maximum amount of time we had her in the water was about 5-10 minutes. Either my husband or I would hold her close to us, so that she was a bit warmer. She did seem to enjoy it quite a bit. I would then take her out and right away dry her off and get her into anew diaper and dry clothes. I didn't want her to sit in the cold, wet swimsuit. It really is more fun for us than it was for her! We don't do much at the pool, but it is nice to have the ability to get her in with us. Good luck!
