Anyone believe in miracles?

Because I didn't, before today. I went into my sonogram, completely devastated only to have the sonograpgher show me a picture of a baby. I can't believe it, there is a baby there shouldn't be there. No one has any idea where the bleeding is coming from because it hasnt stopped yet. We definitely are not out of the woods yet and the Dr couldn't say for sure if this will still end up in our favor. But for right now we are hoping this little miracle is a sticky baby, because there really is no other explanation for what is going on. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I truly believe they helped in this. Also, baby is measuring at 14 weeks 4 days so way ahead of what we thought. If we are fortunate enough to carry full term looks like a January baby.

Wow! That's so amazing! We're you carrying twins before? Didn't you say earlier the baby "slid out"? How are you sure that was what it was? I know a reasonable explanation is far fetched. So happy for you!

Yeah. The size of the clot that I lost, you couldn't have convinced me it wasn't a baby. It was massive and not to sound crude, but my bed looked like a murder scene. It was horrible. I've asked the Dr if they thought I could have expelled a twin but she didn't think so, because my cervix is closed and they didn't see any bleeding. There is a lot of unanswered questions still.

Well your cervix could have closed back up. I will definitely keep my finger crossed for you.

Yeeey!
I had some bleeding this week, went for an ultrasound and the gestational sac was loosening from the womb. Not good at all! Once this is completely loose its an mc..
Uterus full of blood!
2 day later, the blood disapeared and the sac was getting attached again, strong heartbeat.
At that point i started believing in miracles!!

That is wonderful. In your other post you said "the baby slid right out" was there a baby? was it possible you had fraternal twins and lost one? So strange because you said you had an u/s prior to this happening and there was a HB so I would imagine if there were two at that point, they would have seen them? What were you measuring at your appt on Tues that they said you are measuring over 14wks now?

Wonder if it was a twin that got missed. If the uterus is tilted at all, they can be pretty difficult to find which is why sometimes you don't find out you have twins until way later on. Either way, T+P, awesome news!

JMHO but I think you lost a twin. I lost my now 18yo's twin at 13 weeks. We didn't even know we were pregnant with twins until after it happened. I went to the bathroom and a giant clot and a crap ton of blood went into the toilet. I couldn't see the clot because of the blood (and I wasn't going fishing in a public toilet!) , but by feel and plop, I knew it was big. I went to the ER at our little local hospital, assuming I was miscarrying. They found a baby and a heartbeat and told me they thought I had the edge of my placenta lift up and that was causing the bleeding. When I got a follow up u/s at the big medical center where my CNMs were, they told me it was a twin pregnancy because they could see the remnants of the twin pregnancy on my u/s. I bled for my entire pregnancy like a light period (that sucked!) and had lots of follow up u/s so they could watch the twin "stuff" resorb. When my 18yo dd was born, there was an extra lobe on the placenta and there was a lot of gristle-y looking inclusions in the placenta where the other baby's pregnancy "stuff" was resorbed.
