19 weeks & food aversions

ive had significant food aversions since the beginning and it hasn't ended. Before I was pregnant, I used to eat super healthy and now I can barely stomach fruits, veggies, meat. I've been eating mostly processed carbs because they don't make me feel sick or give me heartburn like the "healthy" foods do. Even certain water makes me sick /throw up. I'm worried bc I've gained 18 lbs in 18 weeks and more worried about baby than about me. Is anyone going through this? Any advice?

That's not terrible in my opinion unless you were already obese, that can make it harder on you. I've had an aversion to meat. I try to get creative about it like putting it in a casserole where I don't really taste it lol. Maybe you could stick to whole wheat. How about vegan things like tofu?

  • Same here. I'm 16 weeks and morning sickness is pretty much gone but the food aversions are awful. I can handle fruit and some veggies but I really have to force myself. So far, I've only really willingly eaten carrots and green beans! Meat is the hardest and I can barely look at chixken without gagging. I'm worried too since I am eating mostly carbs and fruit (and sugar since chocolate has been a major craving). I have an appointment Thursday and want to check with the dr to see what I can do to make sure the babies are healthy. I've gained 12 lbs as of 2 weeks ago, having twins...

  • I like tofu but haven't had it. I should try and hide meat in things, thanks!
  • My dr actually told me to cut back on carbs but I'm having a hard time. I wasn't obese before, I was average and actually did the 21 day fix and lost 10 lbs right before I became pregnant. Thanks for the advice!
