Keeping the secret?

I'm only 5w today with my first and am jumping out of my skin with excitement. We're both very healthy, at a prime age and got pregnant after trying for only 2 months but I know there's still a risk for loss. I am just having a terrible time keeping it a secret! Not to mention I'm a horrible liar (answering to why I'm not drinking or peoples general inklings/suspicions). Who are you ladies telling and how long are you waiting?

    Hi , this is also our first baby & I have also suffered two miscarriages in the past so extremely nervous still , I am currently 6 wks 4 days so almost 7 , so far things seem OK my bloods are nice & high & I see our OB next week which I will then be able to go for our first ultrasound to see our little bubs heart beat which I will then be closer to 8wks & once we've done that we are heading off to announce to our family , we have told some very close friends but our family don't know yet , we think its important that at least a few people know , everything will be fine !!!!! , but if something was to happen at least you will have some support & love which is very important , thats how we see it , so if you want to share what will be the happiest journey of your life ,why not go ahead because the old 12 week thing makes no difference as does if your 6 weeks , because things can still happen until we're holding our precious bundles then a whole new fear begins . 8-}

    So I'm probably 4 wks along...I just found out I'm pregnant and I wanna shout it from the rooftops!

    I told my DH and parents and sisters (I couldn't keep it in!)

    The frequent bathroom trips got my boss concerned a I told her and couple supervisors.

    But I'm excited! I'll probably wait til my 8 wks to tell extended fam. I just want to tell everyone too!

    Dirty lurker here! I just want to chime in that you can tell whoever you want, whenever you want! There's no rules!

    However, be prepared for someone to spill your good news for you if trickle it out. I've seen some seriously upset women on here since their sister/best friend/close coworker decided to share the good news for them.

    We are telling immediate family as we see them since it's our second. Plus I always worry if something bad happened it's best to have support.

    I am 6 wks pregers today and I have only told a handful of people. My DH, my mom, his mom, and my boss. I had a miscarriage last year and it was devastating. I had had two successful pregnancies before and miscarriage never even crossed my mind. Now I worry every day. I have decided that I will not tell anyone else until I actually know the gender of my sweet little miracle. At least I have a great way of telling everyone lol...I find out the gender a few days from my daughter's 9th birthday. I'll tell everyone when they show up for her party and be like "SURPRISE!!" lol

    I just told dh because we wanted to know together and my neighbor since she will see me and she has a ds so she's going to be giving me lots of advice. I will wait to tell every other soul I know until 12 weeks =).

    My parents came to town the exact day we got our second positive pregnancy test. I almost told my mom about 5 different times but am really just needing this time to process it all and share the joy for a bit with my DH. We got extremely lucky and got our positive after only a month of trying so we are still in that "Is it too good to be true?" stage. We decided to share with our parents after the first US. And with the rest of the world after the first Tri.
