Im 40wks this coming Sunday. My parents have flown in to Canada from Australia but have to leave on the 24th, just 5 days after my EDD.
I had an appointment with my midwife today and while the baby is head down I have no signs of impending labour - 0 dilation etc.
I'm already stressed out that my parents might miss seeing the baby altogether, but I am not even at my EDD yet and I am a firm believer that baby will come when ready, or have to be induced at 42wks.
So my question is - how on earth do you stop people giving you unsolicited advice on how to naturally induce baby? There is no indication that any of them work honestly and some are just plain silly/irresponsible! I'm getting super pissed off, about ready to punch someone, and it is just stressing me out more!! How do I get them to stop this, without going crazy pregnant bitch on their ass?!
Hubby and parents have been great - all know baby will arrive when it arrives, but I just know my parents will be devastated if they miss seeing the baby before they fly out.
Re: Help! How To stop unwanted advice politely?!?
Hope they get to meet baby soon.

My friend started telling me at 33 weeks that the baby needed to come out so she could hold her.. Why would you want my child to be a preemie??!! She did come early at 37 weeks, but is perfectly healthy
Maybe being a bit of a jackass is the best response at this point
