AF arrived last night so I am on CD1.    We decided against stimming.   We don't need the stress right now, and frankly I would like to lose a little more weight first anyway.   Yesterday DH said that he needed some stress relief so we decided to take a little 2 day trip to Virginia, to a sweet little hotel that we visited a few months after we got married.  We're driving off as soon as this post is finished! :-)

QOTW: I've decided to return to teaching as an adjunct at our local community college.  It's a change of pace for me but I think that I'll really enjoy it!

  • No new news on this end.. Still waiting for AF to arrive so I can start on our second round of IVF.  Started with a personal trainer last week, i've lost some weight with just eating healthier but decided that I needed to add in the exercise part.

QOTW- I'm a young adult librarian at a public library.  I LOVE my job and wouldn't change it for anything!

@goldenkeys have a great trip! Enjoy and RELAX!!!!

  • Hi! I'm new here, and would love to join the conversation. DP and I have been in the process of TTC since 2013. I've got a diagnosis of PCOS. I've had wicked high testosterone levels, so doc has me on Metformin to help level that out. For me, today is CD1, just following another failed IUI. This go-round I'll be doing Letrozole and possibly Ovidrel, depending on whether or not I ovulate on my own this time.

QOTW: to pay the bills, I work as a project manager for a large consulting firm. For fun, though, I work as an associate at a children's clothing store...and now I'm starting to think that's a bit masochistic lol

I'll probably be back and update again later in the week. Tuesday is hopefully my "all clear, let's go this cycle" for our IVF round. If not, something has gone dramatically wrong in the interim :) I'm nervous about having to switch RE's a the last minute, but since to a certain degree we consider this IVF a throw-away hail mary, the pressure is off.

I used to be a marketing director for a skin care line, but transitioned to consulting about five years ago. I spend a lot of time with my laptop :)

Taking a break to go on vacation + enjoy the holidays before FET and/or another IVF round in 2016!

  • I begin my medicine and shots today for our first round of IVF. I have a positive attitude about what we are about to experience because in the end I hope for a BFP and then it will all be worth it. My neighbors threw me a fertility dinner last night where they had foods that are supposed to help boost fertility. It was an amazing feeling knowing what a great support group we have through this journey.

QOTW: I am a High School Special Education Teacher for students with Intellectual Disabilities. I absolutely love my job and the kids I teach. I am grateful that I was able to take this summer off to focus on myself, relaxing and beginning the next stage in our journey to become a bigger family.

No news here either, just finished my last Provera last night and am waiting for AF and then will begin my Clomid.        @GoldenKeys enjoy!  Last minute trips are so much fun.

@kristylang that is amazing, it sounds like a great support system!

I am a wedding and event planner.  My degree is in Public Relations but found an event job right out of college.  I've worked for other planners/companies but now work for myself and I absolutely love it!

  • Hello!

    Ttc since October 2013

    PCOS

Currently taking metformin. Hopefully doctor will start clomid.

  • Hi all, think my reply from yesterday got deleted so I'll try again. Nothing much new this week. In the middle of my second round of clomid and waiting to ovulate. DH and I were at a birthday party for a friend's kid over the weekend and were the only couple without kids, which always feels a little awkward and makes me kind of bummed out. But, on a brighter note, it's Canada Day here in Canada tomorrow which means a day off in the middle of the week!

    @GoldenKeys enjoy your trip!
@kristylang your neighbors sound wonderful! Good luck with the ivf!

QOTW: I work in a lab at the hospital.

    Have a good week everybody!

Hi all! AF showed up late last week and I spent most of the weekend enjoying drinks by the pool. DH & I are getting all our test results and have an appointment with the RE for next month. Unfortunately, most of my free time this week has gone to planning a baby shower for a coworker, which is slightly depressing. QOTW- I am a preschool director..I love my coworkers, kids, and families. But I have to admit sometimes being around so many little kids makes this process more frustrating.

  • Hello everyone...

    TTC since March 2013

Initially diagnosed with PCOS from my OBGYN - who just looked at me and said I had PCOS, insisted she do ultrasound/blood work before making such a diagnosis. Ultrasound normal, slightly elevated testosterone. So Dx stands at PCOS. Was referred to FS upon further testing was also diagnosed with POA (premature ovarian failure).

Currently on my 4th clomid cycle with monitoring from my FS. Cd 14 ultrasound showed 2 mature follies at 24mm, and 1 other smaller one. Lining also looked good, but I can't remember what it was. I just so excited upon hearing the 2 follies comment. So today is cd 19, 3 dpo.

I am a nurse - working at a hospital currently.
Me:28 (PCOS, DOR), DH: 32 (low morphology)
    TTC since March 2012
    2013-2014 - 6 rounds of Clomid - BFNs
    3 failed IUIs in 2015
October 2015 - wait listed for IVF #1
IVF #1 March 2016 - bfn, zero frosties!
Femara cycle 1 May 2016 - POAS starting May 21st / beta testing May 25th....

Inge Molon   I've added you to the checkin list!

AshleySchulte87   So smart of you to insist on FULL testing -- they could have wasted precious months or even years for you.  Good luck!
