Is diarrhoea a sign of labour?

in 3rd Trimester
Currently 30w+2 days pregnant and have experienced diarrhoea last night and this morning with belly cramps through out the evening is this a sign of labour??

    It can be an early sign of labour but you can also have it during pregnancy for a bunch of other reasons. At 30 weeks I would say probably not but listen to your midwife and do what she says.

    It can be but it doesn't have to be. It can also just be that your stomach is upset. I am 37 weeks and have had diarrhea on and off for the last 3 weeks

    I must be missing something then since I have diarrhea every other day for weeks now and I'm still pregnant.

    I had it for a few days when the baby was getting ready to drop...which was several weeks before I was in labor. And then I had it again while I was actually in labor...but at that point I had regular contractions, so it wasn't so much a "sign" of labor as it was "something that happened during labor."

    It's usually hormone related, so it's different for everyone. I wouldn't be happy if my midwife told me I was showing signs of labor at only 30 weeks unless she also told me some ways to prevent it...which I'm guessing yours didn't since you're asking Internet strangers about it. 30 weeks is way too early to be hoping to go into labor...the baby would have to be in the hospital for a really long time.

    I had it during my labor, but the contractions were already well under way by that point.

    Midwife casually just told me to time the belly cramps! The dihaera has stoped now but recently vomited several times. Had hospital appoimrnt tomorrow

    I had diarrhea though out my last pregnancy for 9 months, along with vomiting... I went in labor at 39 weeks 5 days and had diarrhea that night too, but I also lost my mucus plug and had terrible back pain, I had no cramping or contractions whatso ever.
