i thought I got past it all in the first trimester. But I just tried to eat a chicken thigh and I feel as sick as a dog. What makes your stomachs turn in your second trimesters?
I'm just entering my second tri tomorrow and not feeling much better. I'm not constantly nauseous anymore, but most foods don't sound good and if I think of/see/smell something I don't like (usually stuff being microwaved, go figure) I gag and usually vomit. I'm so over this. Second tri is supposed to be all magical unicorns and rainbows! With my first dd I was better by now.
I'm still averse to most foods. Chicken absolutely disgusts me. Beef seems like too much work for my body (I used to be a beef lover of the worst kind) and fish I'll only tolerate in chowders or cakes. So meat is really gross to me.
So are eggs but i can stand swallowing them sometimes. So i try to eat a small bit of scrambled eggs in the morning if i can.
I really don't like foods with a lot of taste. Indian used to be my favourite ethnic food but i can't even look at indian food anymore.
I HATE cooked food with the exception of soups.
I am still keeping close to fruit - fruit is my pet food. I am coming around to raw veggies and will eat salad if the dressing is sour.
I'm finding it hard to eat anything I fancy. My husband fried some chicken the other day and I was grossed out before he cooked it by it being fried- and then the smell! Omg I had to run out the kitchen. Ok if cooked in the oven. I have gone off all veggies and most things. Fruit and chocolate are still ok ;-) but thats not too healthy.. Have to force myself to eat. I'm overweight but have lost 4 pounds since I got pregnant. I'm not complaining! Just want a healthy baby tho!
Baked or grilled chicken, steak, beef all still make me want to puke. I can eat fried chicken tho. I'm trying to keep up the fruits. I also have been craving lemonade like crazy
@jhenns00 Lemonade is a life saver. I drink with almost every meal to help with my nausea and sickness.
On another note, does anyone like smell food through the TV? I keep seeing this Little Cesar's pepperoni, bacon wrapped deep dish pizza commercial and I can smell all of that grease and pork through the TV...it makes me soooooooooo sick
A little over 14 weeks here and still have quite a few food aversions. No veggies, basically. Everyday is something different. I keep getting worried that I will not have enough nutrients for the LO.
Now I'm having issues with smells. My poor fiance can't even sit next to me with ketchup on his food or I get sick. I eat food and then smell food after and I just toss up my insides.... *le sigh* It should end soon...
12 weeks... Rice.. Veggies... Beef...all gross me out... Tend to have a thing for pizza (which i never regularly ate before pregnant) cinamin raisin bread, ice water and any gummy candy. Hang in there ladies!
I have pretty much lost my appetite to eat dinner, period. I crave nothing, and whatever I end up making or going out to eat to have, I maybe eat half of the meal before I am full and feel like bursting at the seams. Once I eat my lunch, I think I would be fine eating 1 or 2 light snacks and just drinking another 3-4 glasses of water for the day. I feel as if I am forcing myself to eat a "dinner" type meal, with some protein, veggies, and/or fruit, just to get the proper nutrition.
