Sea Band Bracelets?

Has anyone else tried these for nausea. I never tried them with my first 2 pregnancies but after reading reviews I decided to give them a try. Just put them on so waiting for them to kick in. But I would love to hear if they worked for you ladies? Are they really as amazing as the reviews say they are?

Re: Sea Band Bracelets?

  • I used them towards the end of my morning sickness last time....so I'm not sure if they worked or if my morning sickness just went away when I started using them.  I'm going to try them again if I get sick this time, so I guess I might find out soon!

  • I should add they do hurt after awhile.  I could only wear them for an hour or two.

  • Just got a free one from a friend... will try when the nausea goes over the normal level

  • Didn't try them last time around, but an alternative is just to massage your pressure points. This is what I wrote in the nausea thread, including two links:

    * Use your wrist. According to some, you can use the pressure points on your wrists against nausea. This is how these Sea Bands work. A free alternative is just massaging your wrists the right way or make your own wrist band. More info here and here.

And here's the whole nausea thread:

Hope they do for you though!

  • I use them now for motion sickness in cars or planes so I'm definitely going to try once the morning sickness starts!
  • A few friends of mine used them to combat nausea and most of them felt like they helped. I bought their line of ginger lozenges though and they are wonderful (for me) helping with nausea.
  • I've been using them the past few days and it might just be all in my head, but I think they're working. Even if it is the placebo effect, I don't care because my nausea is gone while I'm wearing them!
  • I tried them this morning for some very mild nausea.  I just put them on while I was getting ready for work and my nausea subsided right before I left for work.  I don't know if it was from the sea bands or the nausea just went away on its own.  I will definitely try them again!

  • They didn't help me (I've also tried them for my terrible motion sickness) and they feel super uncomfy, especially with my sensory issues.
