23 weeks and haven't felt baby

I had my anatomy scan at 21 weeks and she was perfectly fine. I just haven't felt her move at all on the inside or out. I know my placenta is in the front, but I find it odd that I haven't felt her yet. Anyone else have this problem? I see my doctor Tuesday and am hoping for some reassurance!

  • Yes I have the same issue I'm 22 weeks tomorrow

When I had my 12 week scan they mentioned my placenta was on my back wall so I may feel baby sooner than with my first, and they were right.
  • Anterior placenta with first two. Didn't feel the first until 25 weeks.
  • I'm having a similar experience, I felt her move for the first time officially (where I could see my tummy moving from the outside) the day I hit 18 weeks and then nothing for two straight weeks. I felt her moving a little bit around 20 weeks and my AS confirmed I have an anterior placenta. She was also breech but flipped during the ultrasound and I felt her kicking and moving once she flipped. Now I'm 21 weeks exactly and I barely feel her. Sometimes I question whether I'm really feeling her or not. I can't wait until she is karate kicking me. :-)
  • Wow I cant believe I came across this post because you said exactly what I have been feeling! I have been so down today because I haven't felt movement for two days. I think our babies are just taking it easy but just be on the look out... I am sure they are fine- it's natural for us to get worried!! Especially with the first baby
  • I also have an anterior placenta and an 22 weeks. I can feel her when's she shifts positions completely but no kicks yet :( it's completely normal though. I understand though as I also just want to feel some little kicks (during the day please and not at night as can't sleep anyway!)
  • Is it your first baby? Because you probably do not recognize the signs if it is. With my first I couldn't feel him until 22 weeks and now I felt her at 18 weeks despite having an anterior placenta this time around.
  • 21 weeks. No confirmed kicks. Some what felt like quick muscle cramps but not 100% confident. We are all waiting and it will be fun once everyone has felt their babies. Glad this conversation is a positive one anot a bunch of people yelling at you to read other threads. Good luck and keep us posted.
  • 22 weeks here and no kicks either. Anatomy scan went well though. I wasn't told where my placenta is. Just curious - when were you guys told this info?
  • I'm 23 weeks with an anterior placenta and have only just started feeling him. He usually moves more in the evening or if I happen to have the music channels on he seems to respond to the songs with more bass!
