Hi everyone , this is my first bub after two previous traumatic miscarriages in 2009 I'm currently 6 weeks 2 days & due march the 5th . I also have a bicornuate uterus & hashimotos thyroiditis which is controlled with thyroxine & regular blood tests . I just find myself fearing the worst is going to happen & have that constant worry & time seems to be standing still , my OB that I will be under is currently away until the 20th and my G.P wouldn't do an ultrasound even though I am classed as high risk pregnancy so I have to wait until the 20th to ring the OB to get an appointment . any ideas on how to relax and not think of the worst I would love to hear . my husband & I have been TTC for a while & we want our Lil button more than anything , I just couldn't bear for anything to happen
Re: getting over the fear of miscarriage
What has helped me with the anxiety is trying to get regular hcg blood tests (your gp can order in your obs absence) to see the levels rising and also doing research on rates of miscarriage by week of pregnancy. If you Google it there are charts out there that will show you how the chances of miscarriage go down with every passing day of your pregnancy...it's very reassuring!
I'll be praying for you and your little one until you get your ultrasound!
Prayers for all of us mummas & healthy little beans in 33 weeks xx
You really just have to take it one day at a time.
