Postpartum prep

FTM here looking for advice from those of you who have had a natural birth already. I am prepping stuff for the postpartum period. Prepared some padsicles today and was wondering if there were any must-haves that made your recovery better. I'd appreciate any input!!

    I'm not having a natural birth but I would love to see the input! None so far... Come on, I know some of you can answer this one!!
    PAIF
    pregnant after round 2 of IVF. Transferred 2 embryos and (surprise!) was pregnant with triplets. Identicals passed at 8 and 10 weeks. Still have one healthy baby boy with EDD of July 30!

    I've been making extra dinners to freeze and the padsicles as well, btw.

  • I would make sure you have comfy clothes, regular pads for after the giant hospital ones run out, and get diapers and feeding station set up so you don't have to stumble around at 2am ; ) I used an app to keep track of feeding this time which was awesome.
    Also, lanolin and maybe some gel pads for soreness if you're breastfeeding- it can be rough at first! I hope that helps : )
  • I honestly just wore pads. I had no pain after birth, just bleeding. I've heard witch hazel works well.
  • I just used the numbing foam they sent me from the hospital, ice packs and a lot of pads. I had a couple of stitches but all in all I wasn't in too much pain. I was out and about 2 days prior I just got tired and a little sore after hours of being out. I don't know if that's normal or not but I felt like body recovered better because I had a natural labor.
  • I just used pads. Also kept a boppy handy to sit on when it was kinda sore still
