Exercise? What kind, how long? I haven't exercised lately because I low blood pressure makes me feel crappy. However, I tend to do pregnancy yoga, aerobics, squats, arm toning without weights, walking and biking.
Same as @totmeares! I eat whatever sounds good at the time and whatever I can stomach. Usually cereal for breakfast. Tried to be good and have eggs and orange juice this morning... But baby didn't like that. I usually eat fairly healthy since I'm also feeding my toddlers. And we have like chicken, pasta, roasts, things like that for dinner. I usually cook most of the time. Exercise never Happens unless you count running after two toddlers and carrying them up and down the stairs a few times a day! But let's be honest, I didn't even exercise when I wasn't pregnant ha!
My meals consist of whatever food I can convince myself to actually take a bite of and swallow. I am having a complete aversion to all food. The only time I have had this happen before was back when I had mono in my teens.
Consequently, my exercise consists of lifting my children and sitting in the recliner lol!
Food: Anything that isn't awful? So lots of crackers, breads, rice cakes, oatmeal. It seems my first trimester is starch with pickles. I do try to eat a balanced diet but sometimes it's about getting calories down.
Exercise? I have no idea how ladies work out during pregnancy. I was just getting in shape before this little guy and now yeah I can barely walk a half mile without feeling like I'm going to die.
I'm really trying to get a grip on healthy eating for this pregnancy as my wedding 5 months postpartum is freaking me out- I try and eat healthy (ish) through the day and then at evening have a treat.
Breakfast: museli or fruit, fresh juice.
Lunch: healthy(ish) sandwich or bagel- chicken, cheese, cucumber, tuna etc...
Dinner: can be anything: I cook from scratch about 5 out of 7 nights a week- chilli, veggie curry, sausages and mash, fajitas, pasta, risotto etc... And then we'll get take out/ eat out for the other 2 nights.
Snacks: snacks in the day are normally fruit, yoghurt, crisps- I try not to snack too much! Then at night I'll have whatever treat I want: chocolate cake, ice cream, a doughnut... You get the drift
Exercise: I've started dog walking for a bit of extra money so I walk about 3-5 miles a day but at my own pace.
I've developed lots of little aversions and am having trouble with nausea. So I kind of just eat whatever sounds good, because at least it's food. I try to stay away from too much salad...digestion problems...gas...y'know.
I have not really had any morning sickness and only a little queasy, so I pretty much eat what I normally would, except I've upped my fruit and veggie intake as well as fiber.
Usually for breakfast I'll have toast or oatmeal with some fruit or berries. For lunch a sandwich and some soup or a salad. Sometimes leftovers:P
I've had a bit more trouble with supper because the smell of tomato sauce is grossing me out now, but in general pasta or chicken with some salad and lots of veggies.
For snacks, I've had an aversion to chocolatey treats( thank goodness!) and am craving things like carrot sticks, strawberries, milk, and bananas. I've been trying to get more colourful fruit and veg in as well for a wider range of vitamins and nutrients. Oh, and a couple of dried prunes every day
As for exercise, I work on my feet all day and do a lot of moving stuff around and the doc said that was fine to keep doing. At home I get a lot of walking in too since we have dogs and I tend my garden and do firewood a couple of times a week. I've been wanting to do some light arm and butt toning exercises, but I forget on most days I'd love get to the pool too though! I hear that swimming can be great for mom and baby!
Breakfast: Switch off between greek yogurt + fresh fruit (strawberries, kiwi, apple, or banana), juice and scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit.
Lunch: Usually something a bit more hearty (yesterday it was Swedish meatballs from Ikea, day before chili made from bison, beef, chicken, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes)
Dinner: Really, really depends on how bad the MS is that day. Sometimes it'll be super healthy like grilled haddock with summer squash, and collard greens. Sometimes it'll be a cheeseburger.
I snack very frequently. Handfuls of kale. Lots of fresh fruit. Iron-fortified cereal with mango juice to help up the iron absorption, bits of low-sodium popcorn. Almond milk. I've stopped tracking how many snacks per day it's been but since I've not gained any weight so far, I'm assuming the answer isn't "too many times."
Exercise: I do crossfit but apparently I'm going to have to stop pretty soon because most docs warn against it when you're carrying multiples due to how high-exertion it is. Regardless, I do a circuit of 20 push-ups, 20 air squats, and 3 1-minute planks every morning in my bedroom. According to my Fitbit, I walk anywhere from 10-15,000 steps a day (about 7-10 miles). Oh, and don't forget the kegels
Breakfast-usually two eggs a little bit of oatmeal one my kids didnt finish and a piece of fruit. Sometimes I make a huge pan of granola that lasts us about a week and I usually make a gallon of yogurt in my crockpot every other week or so.
Lunches and suppers look pretty similar around here. We Ranch and Homeschool so I usually have at least 4 of my 5 kids and my Husband home for 3 meals a day. Casseroles, Tacos, or Meat (usually venison or beef) with a starch and either a cooked veggie or fresh veggies in some type of salad form are pretty usual. Cannot wait for garden to start cranking things out! We have a grain mill and while I am not too adventurous with it (I use wheat) I do try to make biscuits/bread/or tortillas about 4 times a week (an assortment not 4 batches of each)
I eat whatever strikes my fancy and I live in the city so I'm always walking. My doctor said 30 min of walking a day is all she wants any of her patients to do in the first trimester.
Feb '16 Siggy Challenge: Favorite Thing About Fall: Haunted Houses and Scary Movies!
Breakfast: usually raisin bran or drinkable yogurt Lunch, dinner & snacks: whatever I can stomach. Nothing really appeals to me at the moment, and a lot of days I think something sounds good and then I can only manage 1 or two bites.
Exercise: long walks around the neighborhood with my toddler in the stroller. I'm so tired lately, but my son loves it so we continue to go for walks.
