im 36 hours post delivery with my baby girl. She is healthy and happy and all went relatively well during surgery. However, tonight I'm in a great deal of pain. The nurses keep telling me this is normal because the spinal has worn off. But the pain is extreme and the meds aren't helping as much today vs yesterday. Can anyone share their experience regarding the third and fourth day of recovery? I'm feeling pretty defeated and I'm curious to know when I will start to feel better.

This time, I had discomfort and some pain.. But my 3rd time standing up I could walk fairly normal. I took the low doses of meds. And the 4th day went off all but ibuprofen. I'm 16 days post partum and only time I really feel any pain is when I have a cyst (I have chronic cysts and they cause a lot of pain before they rupture) I'm not sure why I had 2 completely different experiences. Or if it's how I mentally handled it.. But either way, my best advice is to walk!! Stay hydrated, take the meds as you need them. And don't get discouraged. There will be days where you feel like a million bucks.. Then that night or next day you will feel like you just had surgery.. Cause you did. Take things day by day. It can take weeks to go back to normal. Everyone is different and every surgery is different. (As I explained with my first, and my second)
