Anybody else in the same boat?

Everyone around me has had their babies in the last couple of weeks and I'm the last one left. With every birth announcement I seem to feel crazier and crazier. My pregnancy has been good overall but I'm ready to evict my Lil Princess. Is anyone else growing impatient with each day that passes that you're still pregnant?

Re: Anybody else in the same boat?

  • I can't wait to meet my little boy but am so thankful for almost making it to full term in a few days and want him to stay in as long as he wants to!

  • Who's 'everyone around you' - the last one left of what? Why are you feeling so impatient?

    Yeah, I'm confused here

  • It sucks to feel like you're waiting forever. It was that way with DS1: there were three other family members/friends all expecting around the same time (all due after me!) and yet I was the last one. Went to 42 weeks! Just know that it won't be forever.
  • All my friends and family who were due a little before and some after me. I think my bed rest is getting the best of me. This by far has felt like my longest pregnancy. I have 2 little girls 6 and 3 and I dont remember feeling like this.
  • I'm 34 weeks. I'm not at all ready to "evict" my baby....

I have two other children as well (same ages as you) and feel more "done" this time too! I'm sure your bed rest is playing a huge part... my OB has said that while each subsequent labor gets "easier" that each subsequent pregnancy tends to be more challenging.

    I'm glad someone understands...

Same. It's too early for eviction. I'm waiting my turn.

CaliforniaDream87, I think we could be due date twins! When are you due?

  • We all know the end of pregnancy can be draining. I guess my advice is to focus on how lucky you are that your LO Is still cooking & hasn't come early. The nicu is no fun! My daughter has been in for 23 days now.

That seriously puts, things into perspective. Prayers for your lovebug.Xoxo
  • Yes I'm very impatient too. I welcome contraction pain.

^^this exactly! I totally get feeling miserable towards the end, but it feels even worse when baby doesn't come home when you do!
Yes!^^^^ super hard having to see my baby girl around my husband's work schedule & making enough time for my other kids.

  • I am sooo ready, but I know LO isn"t. Whenever I think I want to be done and just have this baby already, I remember she is only about four pounds and still has a way to go before entering this world.

This is what I keep saying when people ask. I've been pregnant and/or nursing since Oct 2008. (I'm currently still nursing #3), so I totally get feeling done. I am SO ready, but I know baby is not, and I'm happy to wait until he/she is done cooking!! I don't hope baby comes early, but I sometimes wish the days would go more quickly.

Trust me, I know how important a full term baby is with a history of preemies, but I am still anxious, excited, and impatient to meet this one! Not to say I want her here any earlier than she's already trying to, but this has been a rough pregnancy and I can't wait! I have about four other friends that announced their pregnancies within a month of me (I waited until 16 weeks), and three of them just had their babies.
I think you can feel like the OP and still know what's best for baby! (OP, "evict" was probably what threw some posters off).

Maybe the evict threw some off. I'm just tired. I had a loss this past summer with my son in utero, so on top of being physically done.I just want her in my arms to ease my nerves. My little stinker is already 6 pounds and they have her estimated weight somewhere close to 10 lbs by 8/7
