I wish! I have had one every 3 days for the last two weeks. The only thing that helps me is a cold, wet washcloth on my head and neck and 2-3 hours sleep. Tylenol is absolute garbage. I don't even bother. So sorry! Let me know if you discover any wonder cures. Some say you can still take some migraine medicines, but all of the ones I've seen recommended are C class and I don't want to risk it.

ice pack on back the neck while lying down in a dark room. I've heard you should put your feet in hot water while having something cold on the back of your neck, but I've never tried it.
I have a few friends that suffer from migraine and sometimes a cold pack on the back on the head or forehead will help, sometimes it doesn't. What about a little bit of caffeine? Hope this helps, Im so sorry. I have never had one so I can't imagine.
I did the ice pack on the back of the neck. It definitely helps. The hardest thing is having two young kids who don't understand how terrible I feel. DH picks up the slack but they are soooooooooo loud. I've been taking naps just to avoid thinking about it. I'm just praying this first trimester stuff passes soon. I feel like such a bad mom these days.
Oh gosh, Im so sorry. I know how I feel with my 2 boys running circles around me and how exhausted you feel. Im using every excuse possible to stay indoors, though the tot loves being outside. I am just so tired and queasy, I can't imagine having a killer headache too. I sympathize. Hope it goes away soon!
I know several people that started taking ginger when they feel one coming on (google it but I think it was like 1/4 tsp powdered in some water) for migranes and they swear that it makes the headache go away completely. One took imitrex all the time and hasn't taken it since trying the ginger thing. Good luck!
I suffer from migraines. With my first I basically had one throughout my entire pregnancy. I would get cluster ones that would last for days. Some things that help me is I combine the ice on the neck with heat on my forehead. Also peppermint essential oils at the base of your neck or temples. Finally the only medicine I have found is Walgreens brand Tension Headache. If it's really bad I take them with Mountain Dew or some chocolate chips cause caffeine seems to help mine, however for some people caffeine makes them worse. Hope that helps. Also most people and doctors say they get better the second tri. Mine didn't last time but this time I hardly have any.
I actually started vomiting and that seem to help a little bit. Weird! I'm still struggling. I'm just really, really hoping it eases up. I barely slept last night. This sucks!
I had a bad migraine last week (horrible headache, sudden nausea when I haven't had any, sensitive to light & sounds). I did take an extra B complex vitamin to try to help the nausea. But the only thing that made a difference was lots (more than 12 hours I think) of quiet, darkness & sleep. (Thank you DH for taking care of DS all evening and getting him bathed and in bed!) I didn't bother with Tylenol since it never does anything for me when I get a rare migraine.
Definitely tell your doc. I have had migraines for years, and they are definitely worse while pregnant. My doc suggested I take magnesium oxide every day to help prevent them, and to take Tylenol and a small dose of caffeine if one starts to try to stop it in its tracks... Did also give me a prescription for compazine, which had an off label use for stopping migraines once they've started, though I haven't needed to take it and will only do so as a last resort. My migraines are totally debilitating, the aura I get causes me to lose all of my vision for about 45 minutes and I have intense nausea not to mention the awful headache. Anyway, bottom line is tell your doc, he or she may have some tips for you. Hope it clears up!
I just had my first migraine since getting pregnant last night. Thought I had them kicked for pregnancy but I guess not. Took two tylenol, slept for 3 hours, and woke up to throbbing pain on the left side of my head. The only thing I could do was put an ice pack on my head and sleep sitting up on my couch (too painful to put my head down) until the pain went away. Luckily, it worked, but I'm still a little off my game today. I hope your migraine goes away soon! And I hope some doctors come up with a way for ALL migraines to go away FOREVER!
