Proud and emotional mommy!!!!

I am officially home from the hospital despite my bp issues. They had to practically sedate me to make it low enough to be discharged. Ugh.
But my sweet girl didn't get to come home with us. It's been an emotional roller coaster! We did, however, stay a couple of hrs with her after I was discharged. We finally got to see the on-call pedi!!!! She said Anna should be able to come home within 7-10 days!!!!! She said she was born fully developed, just small. She officially is off of oxygen and uv lights! Her iv will be taken out probably tomorrow and the lil nasal tube that goes to her tummy will be taken out the day before she comes home! We left crying tears of joy.

    Congrats. She is beautiful. And welcome home. Get all the rest that you can because you are definitely gonna need it. Glad she is doing so well.

    I am a NICU nurse and it always breaks my heart when the moms are discharged without their babies. Praying for you! But it won't be longh before she gets to go home with you! She is beautiful! And looks like a little champ :)

    It's so hard to leave without LO ::hugs:: glad to hear they gave you a timeline. Our pedis were always super vague and DH was always borderline about to lose it on them. She's precious and it sounds like you're doing amazing! Are you physically feeling better now that you're not pregnant with pre-e?

    I was discharged without my little girl also. It's tough!! Hopefully we both get to bring our babies home soon

    @emmacake08 they think I'm developing eclampsia now!!!! I feel fantastic other than my elephant feet! My bp is even worse now. It wasn't ever this high while I was pregnant. 200/114 before I left yesterday. My dr still sent me home after 3 bp pills back to back, 2 lasiks(spelling?), and 4 pain pills! It was ridiculous! So now I'm on strict bedrest again. I'm allowed to visit Anna only bc he thinks it's good for our health and might lower my bp.

    Ohhhh mama, s he is beautiful!! Sorry she isn't home with you yet, but she will be before you know it! I am so glad that you are both doing well and I hope your BP continues to go down and get under control.

    Stay strong momma!! Glad the doc saw the benefit for you both to get to be with each other some of the day even being on bedrest!
