Home birth gals...

How are you feeling about your upcoming home birth? I had my first at home last May, so quickly about to do it again, God willing. We just set the pool up in our bedroom *gulp*. Had a moment there.

    I'm feeling soooooooo ready! We've been emotionally ready for this baby for a year and a half (due date not til the 30th though). We're not doing a water birth--the whole pool thing stresses me out with 2 active dogs and an almost 2 year old lol! But I'm looking forward to hopefully having another uneventful delivery at home :)

    This is my first and I am nervous. Torn between home and midwifery. The option remains. I am 38+5 so need to make up my mind but definitely want a water birth.

    So ready! My homebirth plans were foiled last time due to preeclampsia and an induction at 38 weeks so I'm really looking forward to getting to do this at home this time! My birth tub will be here next week and other than that I'm all ready to go!

    I had my first home visit last week. I had a moment of nervousness as my MW and her assistant checked my supplies. The assistant unknowingly calmed me down when she said that at moments when she does not have a specific task to take care of, she spends her time praying. They will be bringing the tub by any day now. :-)

    So good to hear from all of you!! I am due the 21st! I am feeling good. Aches and pains of course, but in no rush. I know she'll be here when she's ready!

    Megmansell, I would recommend home birth to any woman, because I have so much faith in women and their bodies. It was the most life changing, empowering, wonderful thing I've EVER done. :)

    Will be keeping you in all in my thoughts and prayers! Stay positive and strong!! No fear! XO

    Thanks!! The only catch for me is I live very far from a hospital in case anything were to arise (our closest is actually in another state). I have faith in my body and want as unassisted a birth as possible!!

    Just ordered my birth kit today. My midwife will do my home visit in two weeks. I'm due on the 30th. The midwife is having surgery on her hands next week. I'm guessing she has a back up, but I really hope I don't go into labor then. This will be my second birth out of the hospital. My first was at the birth center and was amazing so this was a no brainer for me. I'm also kinda nervous because my DH will be gone the week of my due date. I'm counting on going a little late because I was two weeks late with my first.
