Twins or a shadow?

Went in for a ultrasound today because I am supposed to be almost 7 weeks and I have no symptoms. We saw one definitive gestational sac but couldn't see anything inside and there was what appeared to be a second sac to the right of the first one. The doctor said it was either twins or a shadow. Has anyone else had this happen?

    I haven't had this happen but I have heard of it. Not to be snarky, I understand you are looking for "real" people, but I would try googling. I don't think it is that common so you may have better luck with Google. I hope it turns out however you would like it to!

    No experience but I'd say be patient and wait until your next ultrasound. Even if someone here had a similar experience, they'd have no way of telling you if youre having twins or not. Good luck though!

    A friend of mine had a similar story but I don't remember how far along she was. There was something extra they thought could be another sac, but it was gone on the followup ultrasound in a week or so.
