TTC after 35

Intro (loss mentioned)

Hi.  My name is Melissa and I'm 38 (39 in September).  My husband and I have been TTC since we were married in 2010 with no luck.  In my prior marriage, we TTC for at least 8 years with no luck.  In addition to my age, I have PCOS and lost my right ovary & fallopian tube in 1994 and was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2010.  All of these can cause issues with fertility.

In June 2014, I took 2 weeks off work to help my SIL who just had a baby and during my time there, I found out that I was pregnant (completely unexpected as we had basically given up).  I was ecstatic as was my hubby.  At our 10 week u/s, the tech was unable to find a heartbeat.  I had a follow-up u/s the next week and it was determined that I had fetal demise with no signs of natural MC (missed miscarriage).  I had a D&C the following day.  Since then, we have really been fearful about TTC as we were both devastated by the loss.

It's been a year and we are finally ready to start TTC.  I just finished my first round of clomid and should O early to mid next week.  I'm not excited about peeing on sticks, but we are both really wanting this to happen.  My hubby will be such an amazing dad and I can't wait for that to happen.

I'm looking forward to the support on this board.  Thanks.
