I'm being induced Wednesday afternoon starting with the balloon cath at 4 then next morning with breaking water and starting drip...has anyone had the balloon?
I had one with my son a few years ago. I loved it. Didn't hurt for me. When they pulled it out they went ahead and broke my water for me too. So my experience was quite pleasant.
Thanks mommas...I'm just so nervous...I'm a third time mommy but I never had the time to sit and think and wait with other 2...plus that was a long time ago..they are 22 and 8
I just got one about 2 hours ago. I'm not going to lie it was painful going in and then my contractions came on really quick and intense.dont be the afraid to ask for some morphine it did wonders. I only had to have it for an hour and it did help me progress from a 1 to. 4 in under an hour.
Thanks @heathernmay my doctor said it might hurt, but they can give pain meds for it if I asked. I'm a baby when it comes to pain, so I'm nervous about it hurting!
Get the pain meds BEFORE!! I'm not a pain baby and it was very painful I was barely 1cm when they did it. I couldn't imagine being closed sorry I'm not trying to scare you but I wish someone would have prepared me a little better. I quickly went from barely 1 to 3-4. Still laboring 9cm and 27 hours in. Ugh!
