Grunts and pulling

Sometimes our little one makes these grunt noises - as gross as it may be to put it this way, it's the best way to describe - it's like she's really trying to poop. But we have no bowel movement issues and when she really goes she doesn't do this. She does the regularly but when she does it while nursing she pulls her head back or to the side wildly and really pulls on my already sore nipples. I unlatch to teach her not to do this but she just ends up wailing and then continues to do it when she latches again. Anyone else have a grunted like this and any suggestions?

My son does this as well. When he does, I nurse from the other side and he doesn't do it on that side. I attribute it to the breast emptying and not flowing as fast as the baby wants it to. See if that helps you

My LO does this as well and I think it's gas related for her. When she does it while nursing I pull her off to burp her.

My LO also does this alot. And I agree, I'm sure it's gas related... If I burp him and wait a while then he nurses properly again. By

My baby did this and it turns out she had reflux that made her uncomfortable
