My face is just a pimple haven and I am so tired of being greasy. I use proactive but it is obviously not working anymore and I would like to switch to something more natural anyways. Any suggestions???
I can't say if it works yet cuz I just started a couple days ago, but I love LUSH products (all natural) in general and just started using their skin care too since I now suddenly need it. I've been using their herbalism face cleanser, grease lightening spot cleanser (no chemicals just tea tree oil and witch hazel), tee tree toner, and my favorite moisterizer celestial which I used before pregnancy too. Since all their products are natural I'd definitely pop into a store and talk to someone who works there if you've never been there before, the employees are insanely helpful!
I'm having the same problem with the acne.. not so fun! I'm also looking for something that isn't to hard on the skin but fights the acne! I'm using just he aveeno face wash and then a grapefruit moisturize for pimples. Doesn't seem to be working lol
*lurking from feb16 board I've always had acne prone skin and have found that using a Castile based soap with lavender and tea tree oils in it has done wonders for my skin! Also I really good face lotion that is oil free.
I also was looking for something more natural. Someone posted on here about a week ago about African black soap, so I picked some up for like 4 bucks and have been using once or twice a day all week and my face is slowly starting to clear up and anything still there is less red.
I use mamma mio, they are organic and make my skin feel ohhhh so soft. They smell amazing (essential oils) and specialize in pregnancy skin care so also have belly/anti stretch mark creams, boob cream, etc. I use their face wash, eye gel, moisturizer, and belly cream.
I just skimmed through the comments but there's another post about "African black soap" people say they love it and it helps a lot. It's natural and smells great! I started it on Monday and my face has cleared up a little. I can't wait til it's all gone!
Proactive completely dried out my skin. I do the Oil Cleansing Method with tea tree oil and then I also made my own face lotion and use Witch hazel with Elemi and lavender oil in it for toner. When I get a break out, I put a dab of tea tree on the spot and it clears up pretty quickly. (Also works on cold sores.)
It's now been a few days since I started and my LUSH routine really seems to be working for me, especially the tree tea toner and greased lightening tree tea oil/witch hazel on-the-spot gel. I know they're a little pricey, but their stuff all works so well, is 100% natural, and smells amazing.
I also highly recommend their Lovely Jubblies breast firming cream, it smells amazeballs and I've also been putting it on my belly now that I'm pregnant to keep it firm and resist stretch marks
Am I the only one who is having the opposite problem? My skin is typically pretty oily, but its been super dry and peeling over the last few weeks. Not what I expected, but I guess it's better than super oil.
Yes to the poster above! I normally have terrible cystic acne I've leaned to live with that runs with my cycles and never has enough time to heal completely before the next breakout, but my face is SO MUCH BETTER now!! My favorite pregnancy symptom-- my scars are finally getting the chance to heal. It's definitely not totally gone, and I'm getting a little bit more body acne than usual but I'm a very happy camper.
I use Evan Healy products, which are gentle and smell great, though a little pricy. You can order them online at their website or on Amazon, and they have some at Whole Foods as well. There's a Blemish sample kit that they sell that has everything you need if you want to try it.

My skin has also cleared up! I didn't have cystic acne, but I had blemishes on the reg. I have yet to have one pimple since I found out I was pregnant. I wasn't sure if it was pregnancy, or the fact that I changed my skin care routine. I switched to Burt's Bees Sensitive Skin wipes, mainly because I was/am too tired and lazy at night for anything else.
I have at least 20 pimples on my face not little tiny dot blemishes big honking painful zits that look like I'm growing more heads. I am so embarrassed and no one can even tell I'm pregnant yet so they think I'm just a teenager.... Ugh anyways I picked up some black African soap and my face has been slowly but surely clearing up. I can't wait for these pimples to leave and I can glow finally
