Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Legs, knees and feet feel weird.

9 days ago I had a natural miscarriage at 12 weeks. I saw my Dr yesterday and explained that my legs and feet felt weird (worried about blood clots,) I'm still bleeding and healing. She said I was fine and this was normal. So I decided to go on a run to try to feel like myself again and it made it worse.
Does anyone else feel sore legs, feet and knees during the healing process post miscarriage? Im trying not to overreact, my dr was dismissive of these symptoms and I'm wondering if this is all in my head.
Not seeking medical advice, just curious if this has happened to anyone else?

Re: Legs, knees and feet feel weird.

  • Felt weird in what ways? After my natural mc at 5 weeks my hands and feet were itchy, then tingly like pins and needles, then my arms/legs were also tingly and sore. It made walking uncomfortable and falling asleep difficult. When I saw my ob I only had the itchy hands/feet and she wasn't concerned.

I consulted Dr. Google (which I DO NOT recommend - I convinced myself I had MS which I definitely do not), and it made it worse. I started to think it was anxiety related. Once I started to distract myself more, it started to get better. I basically confirmed it was anxiety related when it came back a week later when I had a really stressful family situation. Once that got under control, it went away and hasn't come back.

  • @letyourheartbeyourguide thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry for your loss. Yes, my legs feel tingly and I have no feeling in the heels of my feet. When I tried to run, my knees felt heavy, like they were being filled with blood. I feel like I'm losing it!
I'm going to try to get a grip and convince myself this is all in my head. Hopefully, it's just anxiety (I've never had that before.)

    Time to take deep breaths.
  • I've never had anxiety issues before either! There are some great threads on here about coping strategies and dealing with anxiety. Definitely take care of yourself and take it easy. I hope you feel better soon!
