Stomach probs

along with severe acid refux every time I eat I feel like my esophagus is sucking in air on its own. It's a really weird growling noise and instead of air coming out its sucking air in uncontrollably. Then after a few hours I get so full of air and cannot burp! The only way to relief is to throw up. I'm sure this is probably the most strange thing u have heard lol. Anyone have a clue what's going on. Doc has only recommended Pepcid, Zantac, Prilosec, Nexium , tums, etc...which does help with the reflux but does not help with the esophagus randomly sucking in air on its own.

    That sounds pretty strange and not good. I would try talking to your doctor again and tell him or her it's only helping with the acid reflux. If the only way to relieve it is to puke, that's concerning and your doctor should know that. The puking is probably making the burning feeling you get in your throat from the acid that much worse too.

    Check with your primary, they know more about human body than OB. OBs only do your "down there" and pregnancy related things and this doesn't sound like entirely pregnancy related although it could be pregnancy triggered.

    I had the same thing with the acid reflux in my last pregnancy. I had to vomit to relieve the pressure/anxious feeling It gave me. Zantac worked like a charm but I can't speak for the esophagus issue! Sorry :(

    Hi, A few years ago i had something somewhat similar (nothing pregnancy related) my food had trouble staying down and it felt like wind was trapped everything time i ate. If i burped food would come back up. I had a colonoscopy and gastrospy and it was because my stomach was too acidic. I went on some tablets for a few weeks and was fine.
