3rd time or more moms

Do you feel worse with each pregnancy? Because I do! My first was a breeze (a boy), I loved being pregnant. My 2nd (also a boy) I felt a little gaggish sometimes but besides that I loved being pregnant again. This time, it's a girl...so not sure if it's more a factor of carrying a girl or bc this is round 3...I feel horrible. I could crawl out of my skin. I was so sick the first trimester. I am so emotional and my mood swings are horrible! I feel enormous. I'm uncomfortable, crampy...it hurts when she kicks sometimes! My round ligament pain up and down my belly is horrible if I'm touched wrong, and there has been a sleu of other nerve-racking things going on. Now, I have possible mild polyhydraminos which they are checking up on in another four weeks. I feel like I'm falling apart!! Any other moms on their 3rd+ pregnancy having a significantly more difficult time?

Re: 3rd time or more moms

  • This is also my third pregnancy. First time twin boys, I was misserable. Second singleton bit felt decent. This pregnancy it's a girl I feel fine minus the normal aches and pains. I am more tired this time but I believe that's because of the other three boys. Good luck!! Hope you feel better soon!

  • I'm with you. I feel like I was almost bragging abt my first pregnancy bc it was so easy. I was sick for maybe a week or 2 with my second. This one has been awful. I dont know if it's age ( there is a 7 year gap from my first to third), chasing my other two kids, or just this pregnancy but I can't wait for it to be over.

3rd for me here too! First one I had bad morning sickness with DD for a month or two. Second one was the perfect pregnancy ever with DS! I felt great! Now with third (and final) I was so sick the entire first trimester. I was told it's a girl! I have anxiety on top of pregnancy symptoms so this one is rough. Good luck to all!
  • This is my 4th, I was terribly sick with my first the whole pregnancy and that has gotten progressively better with each one. But the aches and pains have gotten worse. I'm so tired and my back hurts way worse then with any other ones. I feel like ever since I got pregnant my body has just given up, all ligaments and joints are way looser then they should be and are causing so much pain.
  • My first was very easy, almost felt spoiled! My second was fun until complications at 23 wks, I got fatter, it sucked. My third had the worst 1st tri then got better. This one has been pretty good so far.
  • So glad to read this. First pregnancy was textbook til the end when he went breech so section lol but no sickness, barely tired etc. second was great, bit more tired and a week of sickness though.
This one.... Sick every day for 3 months. Tired. Spotting (was put on pelvic rest til 16 weeks), major aches, anterior placenta for the first time so movement was later than I was used to. It's all been so much more dramatic this time! My DH said "shouldn't your body be used to all this now?" Hmm well yah you'd think.

What happened to "third times a charm..."
  • My experience has been the opposite. Each pregnancy has gotten easier. I had HG with all three, but my fist last 26 weeks, my second 20 weeks and this time only about 14. This time PSD set in much much earlier, so my answer to this question might be completely different in another few weeks, but I feel like it is way easier to handle than nausea/vomitting.

I joke with my husband that if we were to have one more, I just might be the cute happy pregnant person I always wanted to be.
