We won't find out if little bean is a boy or a girl for a few more weeks (although I think it's a girl), but we started discussing names today. My SO seems to only like girls names that can be shortened, which I'm fine with as a nickname that he can use, but we can't find any that we both like that aren't already used in our family/close friends. Here are some examples for reference...
Samantha ➡ Sam (I dislike Samantha)
Allison ➡ Alli (different name than Allison?)
Annabelle ➡ Anna (can't use Annabelle and he hates Annalise, other Anna suggestions?)
Natalie➡Nat (have 3 Natalie's very close to us)
The only other name he said was "okay" was Lilah, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! If I have my way, a girl will definitely be Lilah. Big brother's name is Jackson (family name), called Jack most of the time.
Let's hear them ladies! I tend to like names that the board leans towards (no crazy spellings, no boys names for girls, nothing made up). Thanks

ETA : I've heard the value of spreadsheets and Exel for a long time. I told him this and he decided to start working on one. He's going to add name meanings and possible nns to the spreadsheet.
