Rough Day for this Momma: Update!

I went to the doctor for my weekly NST and 36 week ultrasound. Shortly after finishing both I was admitted to L&D for overnight observation. The NST showed a happy baby but the ultrasound showed low amniotic fluid and that the baby has not grown much since 31 weeks. So far all my labs are great and I am not leaking fluid. Although I drink tons of water they think dehydration is playing a huge role in the low fluid. I am on IV and if the amniotic fluid doesn't increase they will possibly do a c-section this week because it is not a safe environment for LO. The baby is healthy, and the weight guesstimate is less than 5 lbs. The abdomen is measuring smaller than the rest of the baby and the baby is in 11%. All the tests for IUGR came back fine as well. Also, the blood flow of the placenta looked great!
My doctor said if the amniotic fluid rises then she wants the baby to cook as long as possible and hopefully gain a little weight. She said sometimes babies are just small.
It has been a long day and any advice or prayers are appreciated.

I have had a day like @kelseyrayay ! What is in the water?! I had another ultrasound and the amniotic fluid is fine! The high risk technician actually said "Ray Charles could have seen the fluid is fine." Best.Thing.Ever.Said.
Yes, baby is on the small side and will be watched, but this momma is going home soon!

I forgot to add I will be getting the steroid shots just in case they deliver. The baby appears to be as developed as a 30 to 31 week baby in utero.
I am very thankful that LO is as healthy as he/she can be!

Wow what a day for you ::creepy Internet hugs:: hang in there. I can't imagine how hard that would be to get so much information without any answers to why it's happening. Whether your LO comes today or in weeks, you'll be amazing and it will be amazing.

Good luck to you and baby. Just to share a positive story with you - sounds almost exactly what happened with my first baby - low fluid, small baby, growth plateauing (tho she wasn't moving much, and I got an IUGR diagnosis). I delivered a little early at 37 weeks and she's now a happy and healthy 2.5 year old who continues to frustrate and astound me on a daily basis
