I was up at four this morning folding clothes, DH woke up and had the nerve to ask what I was doing up- I thought very seriously about smothering him for the next thirty minutes..
I don't have issues sleeping once I get there. However, getting comfortable is rough. I feel like no matter how I position myself, there is something cutting off my oxygen supply. Also, moving my body to a new position takes considerable effort.
I actually dread going to sleep at night now because I know how horrible the night is going to be. I feel like I cat nap throughout the whole night And by the time I have to get up I feel like I just went to sleep. Everyone says it's worse when the baby gets here but I disagree. I slept so much better when the baby was here, even if I was getting up every 2-3 hours , I was still sleeping solid and sound during those periods.

I agree. At least after the baby comes I'll be able to get comfortable and moving position won't be such a daunting task! Oh, and I'll be able to breathe!
I woke up at 4am too. Stared at my phone for a while. Used the bathroom and checked on my toddler. Managed to fall asleep again.
Had a really vivid dream... It was like being in a zombie apocalypse where electronics turn into miniature bug robots and assimilate humans into zombie Transformer Borgs and to get away from them you had to hide under things like bridges. Honestly, I don't know where that came from.

THANK YOU. Totally agree. All those people who say oh your body is just preparing you... I just want to punch.
Between the strange dreams, peeing 5 times a night, the inability to breathe, being super uncomfortable and baby kicking like crazy, no I have not gotten much sleep! Some nights I feel like crying, b/c I'm SO TIRED, and just want to sleep!!! (

I'm the same way, usually wake up around this time had have a hard time getting back to sleep, half the time I don't want to because of my insanely wacky/sometimes terrifying dreams! Also can not get comfortable. Damn you, hips and pelvis
I recently had a week where I got no more than 3 hours of sleep per night. By the end of the week, I was a weepy basketcase. Doing much better now. Tylenol works wonders for restless leg syndrome.
I posted a few weeks ago asking if I should sleep less so I'm use to lack of sleep when baby comes. You all told me to sleep while I can. Whelp 33 weeks now n I CANT sleep for shit ! Sleep n I had a great love affair that many people would be jealous of. Lol from now on I'll ask ppl to give me sleep as presents for my bday,Christmas ect.. I cant wait to sleep on my stomach & without my back or hips hurting also.
I have resorted to naps during the day to make up time. I would be a mess without them
Glad I'm not the only one! It's nice being self employed and able to, but I feel guilty got not getting more done. Just trying to tell myself I'm busy growing a good healthy baby! :-)
When I lay down and get somewhat comfortable, my heartburn kicks in. Ugh yuck. We have one of those beds that you can elevate the head, and I sleep better that way sometimes but hubby doesn't and I feel bad about it. Then I'll sleep a couple hours, and then wake up around 3 and be wide awake for a few hours. Then I get a couple more hours of sleep and wake up around noon X_X
I don't remember what sleep is...between my 7 year old waking up from nightmares, heartburn, pain in my wrist from falling on it, needing to pee, and last night waking up to check on my 4 year old who got a concussion yesterday.

I wake up around 4 EVERY NIGHT! It's 3:45 am right now.. It'll take me forever to get back to sleep too.. I just get so miserable bc I just want to sleeeeeep!!!
At 35 weeks, I find that sleeping sitting up helps & I stay asleep longer. It definitely helps with the heartburn. If you have a recliner, give it shot.
My last pregnancy & this one I have had terrible RLS & heartburn. If it's not one thing keeping me up it's the other. Also getting up to pee constantly! The past few nights I've laid on the floor next to my daughters crib fighting the urge to get in with her... I can't believe it won't be long until she's not our one & only. It makes me want to soak up every moment I can with her- even at 3am lol
