It's effing cold, flu and RSV season. Not to mention, Norwalk virus is very prevalent right now. I keep getting looks like I'm nuts when I ask if someone is sick or ask them to wash their hands before holding Lucas. I mean seriously people, is it really that hard to wash your hands?

Re: Why do they think I'm crazy?
You aren't nuts---I think that is totally reasonable!
On a side note--I haven't really been on much so CONGRATS and your baby boy is just beautiful!
I would NEVER think to pick up anyones newborn without washing my hands first. It's a pretty simple request, really. People are kinds lazy sometimes.
He is beautiful! Congrats!
You're not crazy at all. Congrats btw, I didn't know you had your baby!
I agree - not crazy at all!?
He is so adorable!?
Anytime anyone, even my boss, walks into my office I have their wash them hands, unless they promise not to touch anything.
I'm CRAZY, you are perfectly reasonable!
You're being perfectly reasonable! ?we went through the same thing with DS last Christmas he was 4 days old and we refused to bring him to my in-laws because a sister-in-law was battling the flu and she was going to be there.
That's just plain old good common sense!?
I am so cautious about people touching Colin that I would flip a lid if they acted like I was putting them out when I ask them to wash their hands.
Luckily, my mom and MIL are both nurses so they help with the "reminding" when they are around.
