Hi! I am still nursing my toddler and am now pregnant again. She's not ready to wean yet. Does anyone have any advice on how to keep my supply up while pregnant. I have used fengreek in the past but I know you are not supposed to use that when you are pregnant. I am having problems finding anything I can take or eat to help increase supply. Thanks for your help in advance.
Re: nursing through pregnancy help
Is your supply already waning, our are you looking for advice for a future problem?
How old is your toddler, out of curiosity? I have always been enchanted with the idea of tandem nursing siblings.
My supply is already going down.
I'm hoping to tandem nurse when the second baby comes.
My son is 2.5 and loves his "milkies". I have been really struggling with the pain in my nips, especially when he latches. I am hoping to wean so I volunteered for a week long workshop out of town (first time away without him!). Tonight is night 4 and I haven't had to express for relief so wonder if I was already drying up? (I am 11 weeks)
My Dr told me some kids will comfort nurse without much milk and others will wean (and some will wean from the taste of colostrum).
Good luck to you!
