I need some love ladies! Hard times

My mom was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon (thankfully I work there so it was a short commute). Between fights with my hubby and my mom not feeling any better I just need some prayers! I'm worried about my little peanut with all this stress and I think it's making me stress out even more. I just can't seem to get it together.

Re: I need some love ladies! Hard times

  • I don't know your full situation but thoughts and prayers your way!! I know it can be hard to be under a lot of stress and worrying about the baby stresses you out more so try to do whatever you can to relax.

As for fights with DH you may have to just step away for awhile. Sometimes my husband and I literally just need time apart, whether it's a few hours or even a couple of days sometimes. We get in these ruts where we fight for days over the dumbest things, some are valid but if I'm being honest most arent. Ever since I read about high cortisol levels from stress being harmful to the baby I've tried to just take a deep breath and walk away from him if either of us are a little too emotional. I'll watch Netflix of read a book to keep my mind off of him otherwise I'll get mad and go fight more.

I know you just asked for support and not advice so I hope I didn't offend you by giving you some I just know how hard it is so I feel for you.

Hope things get better for you soon.

Exactly what PP said. And hope things get better!
  • Thinking of you and know how your feeling! In combination with me being ridiculously sick on and off through this pregnancy, my husband's grandfather passed away over the weekend (on my husband's actual birthday which wasn't the best either)... It's been quite a stressful week trying to handle myself as well as the grieving and stress of making funeral arrangements.

    Hang in there!
  • I'm sorry you are so stressed out! Sending lots of prayers and positive vibes your way. I don't know if this will help you or not, but when my mom got diagnosed with cancer, I called up my OB extremely concerned about risk to baby because of my stress level. they assured me and reassured me that stress will not cause you to miscarry. It can definitely hurt your fertility, but little one should be safe.

Despite that, I think that you need to do whatever it is that you need to do to relax. Obviously, I don't mean leave your mother… But I do mean that PPs' advice to take a step back from fighting with your husband is a good idea.

    Hopefully everything gets better soon!
