Recommend your DC's art easle/center

Looking for something that R can use to paint & color, and I would like it to have a chalkboard as well as some even just basic storage for crayons, markers, etc.

  • If you don't want to spend a fortune I HIGHLY recommend the easel from IKEA.  It was $19.99 and its awesome.  It can fold flat to be slid behind or under something for storage.  It has a dry erase board on one side and a chalk board on the other side as well as a spindle for one of those big rolls of paper (which IKEA also sells for cheap).  There is a little shelf on the front for crayons, etc.  DD loves hers and I didn't have to break the bank on it.

i plan on getting this in the future.. no chalk board though

  • DS also has the IKEA one and it is awesome. He is rough on his things and it has held up very, very well.

  • We have this desk and love it so far- DS uses it EVERY day.

The desktop flips up to become an easel, with a clip and its a white board.  No chalkboard.  It has SIX little bins for crayons, supplies, etc.  The stool is easy for DS to sit himself on.  I found it at  Target for cheaper than this.

Step2 Flip N Doodle Easel Desk

I haven't tried painting on the desk though.  I don't trust DS to paint anywhere but strapped into his booster seat, pulled up to the dining room table.  I would be afraid of paint on the walls, on the furniture, etc.. :)
