34.5 week checkup + dialation

I had a doc appointment today. I've been contracting but not necessarily in regular patterns. Today doc wanted to check progress and said head is very low and I'm 1.5 cm. I know you can be dilated a while, but curious if any of you have had this and if so did you deliver early?

    Please search this topic as it is discussed every single day.

    I was 3cm for 4 weeks. Still went over due with DS. Doesn't mean you will go early.

    Yes and no. DS I was dilated and delivered early. DD1 I was not dilated and delivered early. DD2 I was dilated and did not deliver early. Just goes to show, early dilation and early delivery, do not always go hand in hand. It will be different for everyone and every baby.

    With my first I was dilated at 2 then I had her that weekend. I was also having contractions and 38 weeks. So they started the pitocin.
