Small achievements

i thought it would be fun if we all shared the small achievements of our LOs or ours!

I'll start, DD is 9 weeks and EBF, she poops once every 3 days or so, last time she went it wasn't much at all. She's been having tummy ache and not burping enough for 2 days. Today, after screaming of pain for about 2 hours she pooped and i was so proud of the quantity! Yes i'm proud of my daughter's achievement that is pooping enough, and i loved that she soiled her moses basket (she wasn't in diapers when she went) and i was smiling while soaking the soiled laundry. I could tell she was relieved and happy afterwards and her tummy felt to me, it used to be almost hard poor baby has been suffering!

I'm so happy i could sing!!

Now it your turn :)

Re: Small achievements

  • DD is 6 weeks. She has been battling with congestion for several weeks and it has made me feel like she's never happy. But today she was smiling and happy! She was looking at me, her dad, and her sister and laughing! And she was laughing when she was looking at her little snail toy!

  • I'm with you on the poop! DS pooped on his own today after battling constipation. Also, he sleeps flat in his crib!!!!
  • My LO made such a huge poop last night, after not going for a day. It was everywhere, all up his back! But he looked a lot more relaxed afterwards!
  • Totally unrelated, but I'm super excited I'm finally able to wear my wedding rings again.

LO has been sleeping in his crib for 3 weeks now! Still has two night wakings to feed but I'm proud of him for establishing good sleep habits :)
Also he smiled at me this morning!!!
  • @ali0608 - I thought this the other day when I told DH "make sure you tell me what colour his poop is" and googled a poop colour and "is this normal?" for the billionth time this month.

My 6 week old finally slept longer than 3 hours over night. He slept from 11pm-4am and it was magical! Hahaha
  • DS is 6wks 3days, and sleeps in five hour stretches at night! He can pick himself up and hold his head well when on his tummy, and tries to hold it up when being held over mommy's (or anyone else's) shoulder! He is a smiley boy and mimics certain facial expressions! He is a stubborn little stomach sleeper but has such good control over his neck muscles and is constantly moving that mommy doesn't mind. Hopefully rolling over comes next or laughing comes soon! He already tries laughing: he makes a similar noise when I laugh and play with him!
