Fellow anterior placenta moms to be how often are you feeling those movements & kicks & how far along are you! I was feeling regular movements for a few weeks now I'm feeling them less again anyone the same?
I'm 24 weeks with A.P. I feel him moving all the time. It's more on schedule now and not quite as sporadic. But I didn't feel anything until 19 weeks on the dot. I remember at my anatomy ultrasound seeing him do flips and having a boxing match but didn't feel a thing.
I started feeling her at around 18 weeks, just flutters and a few "taps". Now in the last 4 days I have been feeling actual kicks. Sometimes it feels like she is pressed against me and pushing for a few minutes. I also feel her move more on a schedule now.
I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and have been feelng bubbles in my tummy for a couple of weeks ... My doctor said don't stress being my first too I may not feel strong movement , I have a heart dolper and I check babies heart beat just to be safe
I'm 24 weeks Wednesday I feel her kick maybe one or two kicks during the day, but 5:30 and/or 10:30 pm I'll feel her kick more if I'm sitting. I've found that I will go a couple days without feeling much of anything then she is back to her scheduled time again. I always get worried on the days she is not active then just when I start to really get worried she is back at it again. I can't wait for her to get bigger and start feeling her more. My dr said it may not be till around 28 weeks that I really feel her all the time
I'm 23 weeks today. I feel random movements during the day sometimes, but I more commonly feel small movements when I'm sitting or laying on the couch in the evening. I didn't know what I was feeling was the baby until our anatomy scan and I saw the baby kick and felt it at the same time. I would say I feel at least one movement a day now, but it's not huge. I can't wait to feel more!
I am 22 weeks I feel thuds everyon once and a while but not consistently. When I do feel her kick its down by my pubic area. Can't wait for hubs to be able to feel her from the outside !
I'm 23w2d and i can feel her kicks and punches pretty constantly now. As soon as my partner put his hand on my stomach today she started showing off with heaps of massive kicks and punches (his first time feeling her move). They're mostly up high above my belly button. Some of the movements actually make me feel sick. It's so comforting though knowing shes so active in there!
I feel her pretty regularly throughout the day but she's most active at night and in the morning after meals. I think they are supposed to sleep a lot right now so I wouldn't worry if there's long stretches during the day where you can't feel anything. I feel kicks the most when I'm seated and reclined.
I'm 20+6 and I don't feel him very regularly at all, maybe once a day I will feel something, but it's very gentle almost unnoticeable. He was moving a lot at my US a few days ago and I couldn't feel it at all
I just realized I didn't even answer the question in my post up there. Silly me. I'm not feeling him regularly, but I do feel him four or five times a day now. He likes to squirm around a lot around 4:30 am. That's when he's the most active.
@DeeGreer 's experience sounds familiar to me. I hadn't felt anything by about 18-19 weeks and wasn't at all worried about it. Even without anterior placenta, it is totally normal for FTM's to not feel baby until later. I went to the midwife for my monthly appointment and when looking at the anatomy ultrasound pics, she was able to tell me that my placenta was anterior. Between 19-20 I felt very light flutters. It felt like a muscle spasm in my tummy, and I was only able to feel her when I was totally still for a while and really paying attention. I'm 24 weeks today, and I can feel actual kicks pretty solidly sometimes, but more internally that the traditional "on your tummy" kicks. She particularly likes to punch my bladder on road trips apparently. My husband was only able to feel her within the last week very faintly, and only lower down, so I'm assuming that while in front the placenta is high--ish (which is good!). I've had days even over the last week where I barely feel her at all, and then others where it feels like she's trying to punch her way out. This seems to be pretty standard based on the quick internet research I've done, and per the conversation with my midwife.
I'm 21+2 and I only feel with her with certainty if I am laying down and completely calm. It's startling when she actually kicks. She is stronger than I thought she would be. My husband says he felt her for the first time last night. (He thought he felt her before but took that back after last nights kick). Hoping she's a soccer player!
21 weeks 3 days and I've been feeling kicks every day for about a week. I'm a second-time mom so I was getting really freaked out that I didn't feel anything earlier! Until my midwife said it was because of the anterior placenta, which is why it took forever to get baby's heartbeat earlier on, instead of just mine.
So I'm 26 weeks now with an anterior placenta and I was feeling her on my side all the time, but now hardly ever. I think she's fine, but it scares me because I should really be feeling her kick regularly by now. My doctors office told me to call them if I didn't feel movement. I do, just not that often. I think she mostly sits behind my placenta. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes. I used to feel her only on my right side due to the AP and her being transverse. Now, I feel her occasionally on my side but not everyday like I did before. I don't know if she's turned but I'm supposed to have an us at my next appointment so I guess I'll see. I feel slight movement that mostly feels like my stomach jumping or something but I've never felt her on the outside. I wish I would so that my husband could feel her kick but in the meantime, I'm enjoying hee kicks not keeping me awake all night
I'm 24 weeks today, and I've been feeling him consistently since about 18 weeks. He'll kick every couple hours, that I can tell. Usually a little while after I eat something. He mostly likes to kick my sides though. When he does kick the placenta, I can't feel it, but I know because my whole belly will move. It's a really weird feeling.
I'm 27 weeks now and I feel her more and more each day. But she's VERY active (so active I usually get ultrasounds at dr visits because they can't get a heart beat) I've recently been able to see the movement and when I lay on my back she pushes right on the surface and we can see her roll and move. This just started this week. But everyday they're getting stronger!
I'm 26 weeks (tomorrow) and I feel random movements throughout the day, most noticeably at night when I'm laying down. It's nothing like with my first pregnancy though when I could feel kicks/movements clearly, these are more like "I *think* I just felt something?" - they are just more subdued movements, if that makes sense. Some days i feel more , while I'll have days where I feel no movement except a bit at night.
I'm mostly feeling her at night. If she kicks my placenta my belly also rolls. She'll move a bit after I eat but mostly in the evening. It just makes me crazy because I'll go hours without feeling her.
I used to feel her non-stop but I guess she's moved positions.
I'm almost 24 weeks and I feel her pretty consistently throughout the day for about the past week or two. More in the evening and when I lay down for bed. I get a few big kicks here and there. They are always a little shocking. I find the movement so reassuring, just wish I could feel it a little better!
In light of the jabs and kicks thread. I'm feeling more pronounced movement at 25weeks, but it's not constant at all compared to what the other ladies are describing. Anyone else?
I started feeling her around 18 weeks but it was mostly this pressure by my belly button, like she is pressing up against the placenta. I still get that occasionally but now I feel her kick (I'm 24 weeks). But it mostly feels like big bubbles popping, sometimes it feels like a jab! My husband has been bummed that he hadn't felt her kick. But tonight, he felt one for the first time! It was just a little kick but he felt it. It was exciting!
I have an anterior placenta, and when the ultrasound tech told me, I was actually very surprised because I started feeling my daughter around 17 weeks, just little flutters. But the past couple weeks since about week 20 it's been very easy to feel her. I am 25+4 now and it's VERY odd if I don't feel her throughout the day. She's an active baby, so while she may be quiet for a few hours, once she starts kicking she moves constantly.
I'm 28 weeks and just started to really feel her move. Normally in the mornings but the past few days I have not felt her as much. She must have changed positions
Re: Anterior placenta how often are you feeling kicks!
I used to feel her non-stop but I guess she's moved positions.
My friends are calling her my little kickboxer because I'm having trouble sleeping.
My DH finally felt her kick today so I'm happy that he can finally experience it too.
