Baby's head measuring 4 weeks ahead!!!

I went in for my 37 week ultrasound today and my baby's head is measuring 4 weeks bigger! Anyone else in a similar situation? My ob says it's normal and I just have a smart baby, but I can't help but be a little concerned.

    Same here! I'm glad he's big and healthy but I can't help but think about it growing bigger with each passing day. I hope it fits coming out! Good luck!

    Keep in mind that those measurements are not exact. My little one was measuring around 50% then at my 32 week US, they said her head was measuring 2 weeks plus ahead, then at 37 weeks her head is measuring less than a week ahead. The doc said the variance is 1lb in either direction. Try not to stress, odds are it's not as bad as they think.

    My first measured 4-6 weeks ahead, but it changed at each sono. My OB induced me a week early.

    Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. My midwife basically dismissed it saying that it meant very little. Measurements at this stage are quite unreliable and I've heard many stories of women being told sizes and weights of their babies that were off by several pounds! I'm just going to wait and see how big this baby actually is when he/she decides to show up. Good luck :-)
