All I can offer is solidarity sister. I've even hit the point where options like taco bell or other of my go to clear outs, are just making me horribly gassy on top of the constipation.

Just think, all this practice at pushing will gear you up for delivery. It's essentially the same sensation and muscles. I suffer from IBS-C outside of pregnancy, so I'm a really good pusher.

I had gone about once in two weeks - multiple doses of Colace a day weren't helping - for four days I took Colace twice a day, drank a crap-ton of water, Fiber-rich foods, apple juice (couldn't quite bring myself to prune juice...), dried fruit, etc. all the things you are "supposed" to do. Finally was in so much discomfort that I took a mild laxative to try to get things moving - was supposed to work in 6-12 hrs... 30hrs later something of the above worked. Went like 4x in one day.... it was glorious.
Try EVERYTHING!
And Colace/stool softeners will make it worse unless you are drinking a crap-ton of fluids... just FYI.

I've been taking a mild laxative regularly and it has helped a lot. Every few days just to keep it moving. And I've learned def not to eat fast food or things that just make you more gassy on top of it because u just feel worse.. A little cup of coffee has helped too, even if it's a decaf!
My sister, who always had an issue, was always told to drink pear and/or prune juice. Sometimes she would mix them together. We keep my daughter regular by having her eat yogurt every day.
I was having some digestive issues this past fall. They sell plum juice, which for some reason tastes better than prune juice and that helped. I've also found drinking warm water with lemon in the morning helps all day.
Re: Constipation...HELP
Drink tons of water with your high fiber foods. Not getting enough water and too much fiber will constipate you even more.
Good luck. I wish I could say it gets better, but it doesn't.
