Not looking so good

Well, 2 weeks ago I posted that I had ultrasound at first OB visit. Ultrasound showed only yolk sac with hCG of about 20000. HcG had been progressing nicely up to this point. Progesterone had been on the low end, but my doctor, unlike many others does no seem to think progesterone pills help make pregnancy viable. I had an apt two days later to see specialist who did my tube reversal! Literally, within two seconds of transvaginal ultrasound he saw heartbeat! I was very relieved.
So here we sat 2 weeks later, had ultrasound at regular OB office and once again they could not find heartbeat on ultrasound. They did HCG and over two week period it only rose to 40000. He really did not say to prepare for miscarriage or give me a positive. He scheduled me for an ultrasound tin 2 days at hospital and more lab. I am just really confused and this whole thing is heartbreaking. Any advice or storie food or bad?

    I am so sorry you are going through this. I know it is really frustrating when all they tell you to do is wait. Hugs to you and I will keep fx for positive news on Thursday.

    Once your hcg is that high, it takes a really long time to double. I wouldn't worry about those numbers at all.
    Hopefully your next ultrasound will show everything is fine!

    Thanks ladies, I feel like a ball of emotions. I thought after three kids I would have a clue this go round! Boy was I wrong, I will update everyone on Thursday!

    Sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way. I don't know which way it will turn out, but I can tell you that in my own personal experience, I've had doctors that have had a hard time finding the heartbeat when it was still there. Again, I don't know how it will work out and I don't know the type of u/s machine that was being used… Will be sending lots of prayers your way.
