ive lost a lot of weight which I hear is common is there a way to gain it back? Some ppl say insures. I'm only 11w5d I'm sure down the line il gain but any suggestions?
Unless your doctor is worried about it I wouldn't worry too much, that's what the second and third trimesters are for Have you had much ms? If you are still suffering from MS hopefully it goes away soon. Just try and eat healthy for you and the baby.
I lost weight in the first trimester with my first pregnancy. I didn't have MS but I gave up drinking pop (soda) when I found out I was pregnant so I think that had something to do with it. Also, my extra pregnancy appetite didn't kick in until sometime in the second tri I think. Unless your doctor is worried then I wouldn't worry about any weight loss. You'll gain it all back plus plenty more in the next few months!
Same advice as the other posters- unless doc is worried, don't worry about it! You've got enough on your plate. And odds are, if doc were concerned, he would tell you healthy ways to gain. I lost 10-15lbs my first pregnancy, and I'm pretty petite, but my doc didn't worry. I gained it back (plus another 25 X_X ) in the second and third trimesters. Just hang in there! Hopefully your MS will pass soon!!! T&P
My first pregnancy I lost 10 pounds the 1st trimester. My doctor says it's pretty common to lose a few pounds because most women are eating healthier for the baby and stop drinking alcohol.
If you have bad MS the important thing is that you're hydrated... Your body has enough nutrients to feed bub, but hydration is very important. I'm 13wks and 3days and I've been in hospital a few times for IVs due to MS. I dropped from 60kgs to 52kgs in two weeks. In the past two and a half weeks I've put 3kgs back on, still lower than my pre-pregnancy weight but my midwife is happy with my BMI and hydration levels It gets better, I promise. I'm still pretty sick but I've gotten a lot better this last week. Just rest as much as you can, suck on ice cubes and sip water with a bit of cordial throughout the day and keep down whatever food you can, even if it's not the most healthy! Plenty of time to be healthy when you're feeling better!!
