Is anyone else experiencing continuous headaches? I have one pretty much on a daily basis ranging from dull/annoying pain to can barely sit up straight pain. I've been taking acetaminophen for the really painful ones but they just never seem to completely go away. Is anyone else dealing with this? I'm going to the doctor's tomorrow for a follow up appointment and I'm planning on mentioning it.
Thanks!
Re: Continuous Headache
I will, my only fear with them occurring so often is that headaches are a sign of preeclampsia which other mothers in my family have had. I've also made it a point to dink lots of water and eat healthy, thinking that would help but so far no change. Mine started about week 10, I'm 16 weeks now and it just feels like they've gotten worst.
What happen to the 2nd tri being the nice easy one!
Keep us posted on what the doctor says.

I mentioned it to the doctor at my check up appointment this morning and she advised that they are actually very common and normal especially when pregnant with a girl (something with the hormones). She said to stick with the Tylenol and if I have to over-caffeinate in order to get rid of the headache then that was fine as long as I also continuing drink lots of water. She also suggested trying Pedialyte popsicles as it may be just because my potassium and magnesium levels have dropped which can cause headaches.
Was kind of hoping for a miracle pill but with pregnancy I know the docs are hesitate to give you anything so I'll try her suggestions and hope for the best! Praying by the end of the 2nd tri they have subsided a little.

It makes me feel better that I've chugged caffeine in an attempt to rid myself of headaches.
Just curious, all you headache sufferers, do you think this has anything to do with gender? Just for fun question...not asking scientifically.
And yes, I made sure that my chiro had experience with preggo ladies before I went after my BFP (I know it's a point of discussion and debate around here). I actually see more and more bellies at his office each time I go!
Good luck with the headaches. They are definitely annoying.
I cut out drinking coffee last October and that helped too. Eating super healthy and constantly drinking water helps.. And I mean constantly. I probably drink over 15 cups of water a day... Meaning lots of trips to the bathroom.
If the pain gets super bad I lay down in the dark and drink hot tea. But most of the time nothing helps the "annoying" pain. It sucks but it's part of my life.
As far as concerns for preeclampsia, your OB should be screening for signs at each visit. That's part of why they should be checking blood pressure and testing urine each time. I hope this helps but definitely talk to your doctor to help alleviate your worries.
For me, I had tried all the prescription stuff long before I was pregnant. Besides imitrex nothing worked (then of course the wonderful rebound headaches that were as bad). I'm allergic to Tylenol so I thought pregnancy would be a nightmare with migraines. Neurologist had me take high doses of B2 daily, it took a while, but worked wonderfully. This time I started early and have yet to have a migraine with this pregnancy- compared to the near daily ones previously. Whatever works, right?
