I started to feel stuff around 16-17 weeks. My babies like to hang out right in front of me in the middle of my belly. He HATED seatbelts so he started to kick or hit towards the belt at about 16 weeks. It took me to until 17 weeks to realize it happened every time and that it was the kiddo. He was also OVERLY active my whole pregnancy so that helped.
I swear I feel little pops when I lay in a certain position at night time and I'm 14w and 2 days! According my ultrasounds he's such an active baby! Hope and moves around so much they can never measure him correctly until the second or third try! I love it!
First recognizable movements were at 16 weeks... 14 for my second and 12 for my third (but only when I'm sitting or laying down)... it's easier to distinguish movements once you know what your looking for
I felt something today and it scared the crap outta me. I'm convinced I must've had gas or a muscle spasm or something. I lay with my hand on my abdomen alot for comfort and I felt like, a flutter, poppy kind of feel. I wasn't even paying attention to my tummy at thetime I was just watching I movie with my SO.
FTM here- 14wks 1day , this morning I got up to potty and when I laid back in bed I had fluttering in the middle of my right side. I wonder if it's baby-- I'll wait to see if it happens again. I'm excited to feel my baby grow- even if I have to pee a million times a day or it's getting harder to breathe... Just a small price to pay
If you could feel movement right now, ladies, remember that it will be very low. Your uterus is still mostly within your pubic cavity/bone right now. It doesn't move up to your belly button until 20ish weeks, and it takes til 16 weeks to even be halfway there. If you're feeling "movement" in your abdominal area, it's gas.
I felt flutters with DD at 16-17 weeks. It was a bit later with DS because I had an anterior placenta, which can affect the ability to detect movement. It was 19-20 weeks with him.
I felt a strong TAP yesterday morning as I was trying to pry myself out of bed to go to work. I'm 14w today and I know it's early, but it was in the right place and felt like no gas I've ever experienced.
Im 15+5 today i felt a thumping sensation felt like it was in my cervix. It happened twice in 15 minutes. Was irregular. Was sat in the car at the time. Any other mums felt this. Seems way early, but wondering if it could be movement

Not necessarily. According to two doctors and one midwife, my uterus had reached my belly button at 12 weeks. Everyones different.

Ok well you are a RARE (very rare) exception. I'm actually kind of baffled as to how that is even possible when the baby is tiny at 12 weeks. Is that why so many practitioners checked it - to verify, since it's so rare?

Actually it is a little higher than that at 12 weeks. Even when I went in for my appointment with my midwife at 11 weeks, she always feels for my uterus and shows me where it's at and it was probably a little less than halfway up to my belly button. That's still pretty significantly above the pubic bone. I did find a cool pic that shows what the anatomy of a pregnant lady looks like (to see where all my organs are heading to) and it also shows that your uterus has moved up. This also explains why we may have to pee a little less because it has shifted up and off of our bladder (for now at least).
I haven't felt anything yet at a little over 13w but I never even felt flutters with DS, just when he started really kicking.
PS midwives are pretty awesome at feeling things, they used to tell me what position DS was in and that his hand was on his head and they'd try to make me feel it but it all felt like a bump to me!
Everyone experiences things differently. So what they feel or experience should be their experience and not be told they are wrong or what they feel is gas. I don't have any gas at the moment and all my bloat is gone. I was just wondering when people felt movement.
Pardon me for expressing skepticism at someone's "experience." There's no possible way those feelings are anything other than the baby. Couldn't be gas. At all. Definitely the baby. Trust me, I'm a random stranger from the interwebz.
@ChipMonster comment was not directed at you, or anyone in particular. More so just telling people what they want to hear, right? The flutters I first felt with DD were very distinctive. There was no question that it was her. Whereas if someone is like, "I felt something and I think it was the baby," I'm going to be doubting them. Especially this early in the game as some of the FTMs are/have been posting that.
With DD I started noticeably feeling her move at 15 wks. Today, (15w2d) for any STM that will get this, the baby rolled up and surfaced ingo that painful little knot they love to do. Super weird. Happened again tonight and I made hubby come and feel the rock. Lol. He laughed and told me to leave it alone because I was annoying it. Haha. Super weird to be experiencing this again. It'll chill and then it'll ball back up. Haven't felt any prominent kicks yet, but did see how active it is by ultrasound. (FYI: I had a tech tell me "it" is a girl, but she is so stubborn and didn't want to move her legs that I'm waiting to be set on a girl until he confirms it in two more weeks.)
