19 weeks and am getting a sharp pain it.my left butt cheek that is making it so I can barely walk. It's been getting worse and worse. Calling my midwife as soon as they open. I also have aches and pains in my back and legs.

So over this.

Re: Can barely walk pain

  • Sounds like sciatic nerve pain. I suffered from this heavily during my first pregnancy! Best of luck, darling.

Yep. Sounds like sciatic nerve pain. I have this due to a tight piriformis muscle (muscle that run across your butt). I've been getting massage and thinking about doing PT. I'm worried that if it's this bad now, how much pain will I be in later :/

I had a pinched sciatic nerve with my first pregnancy because my hip rotated. I went to physical therapy and it helped a lot. Before physical therapy I could barely walk the pain was so bad. Also they reccomend for me to use ice.
  • @jenEP I had piriformis syndrome and saw a pain management doctor that did a cortisone injection into the muscle. It made such a world of difference.
  • Google stretches for sciatica during pregnancy. If these don't work you may want to see a physical therapist or chiropractor. My chiropractor has me come in weekly for adjustments so it's a pain but they help a ton.
  • Thanks ladies. Going to the chiro tonight. Praying for relief
