High-Risk Pregnancy

Bed Rest Check-In 7/7/15 - New Leader Needed

Hello and welcome!   ***This is my last time running the check-in since I expect the twins to arrive some time within the next two weeks - if someone wants to continue the check-in that would be great!***

This is a check-in to offer support and encouragement to each other while facing the challenge of bed rest during pregnancy.

If you are new, please tell us your EDD; # and gender of LOs; type of bed rest (modified / strict / hospital) and when it started in
your pregnancy; reason for bed rest; and any updates from recent appointments.

QOTW / GTKY:  Updates - how are you doing?  What is your favorite thing about summer?

Re: Bed Rest Check-In 7/7/15 - New Leader Needed

  • 36+2 and the babies are hanging in there with no regard to their poor mom - who is barely getting 4 hours of piecemeal sleep at night since they think it is fun to sleep during the day and party all night.  The lack of sleep has also been driven by insane and insatiable itching of my hands, arms and feet.  Had blood drawn yesterday to check for cholestasis.  I am 1 cm dilated, up from 1/2 cm last week.  OB's office is supposed to be calling to schedule c-section for 38 weeks at the recommendation of MFM.  However, OB told me if I have cholestasis then c-section will likely be scheduled sooner.

QOTW:  I love that DH has summer hours right now, and comes home an hour earlier each day.  It's a welcome change since I've been primarily stuck at home with the modified bed rest and it means I can spend more time with DD who had to go into full time daycare while I've been on bed rest.

    26 weeks + 6 days

Baby girl is still doing great, kicking me super hard in my ribs! My cervix is stable at 1.2-1.4 cm, very little change from last week. Cerclage is still intact. I have been feeling pretty big and uncomfortable which has made it hard for me to sleep but I'm just happy me and my baby are healthy.

Fav part of summer: unfortunately I was looking forward to a lot swimming this summer, but defiantly happy about being in ac all day, the whether in California has been so hot!
  • Hiya!

I've been in hospital on and off. I was just released yesterday but I was in there for a week after 2 three day stints. We're still going strong! I've had false labour for the last 3 days. OUCH!!!! So ready for bubba to be here. She's still presenting breech and we have a caesarean booked for week 39. We don't know the date yet but its mostly in motion now.

    Not Long now!!!!
