  I packed my bag after my water broke at 40+6. It's not really a "panic, we have to go NOW!" situation, or at least it wasn't for me. Contractions were still like 20-30 min apart when the water broke, so I called the hospital, finished my breakfast, packed my bag and took the commuter train to the hospital.
  
  If you want to pack your bag beforehand, I say just decide that you are going to do it and just do it. But I think you can also get away with making a list of what you want to bring and then pack it later. You still have lots of time!

  im doing everything little by little so far i have babys going home outfit breastpads pads shampoo conditioner lotion toothpaste toothbrushes a towel a blanket and another bag full of crochet baby hats that im planning on donating all i have left to put in there is my going home clothes

  i feel like im over packing ths time around its only because im so anxious and im definetly nesting more this time than with my first

  Haha I just packed my bag and I am 38w 4d lol after yesterday's appt she put me on modified bed rest to avoid labor until the 23rd (how fun) so I figured I should probably pack one haha
